Just wanted to say for those who are interested:

I spent the last 2.5 weeks and around 40 hours and I have the Steel Batallion controller completely working under Windows 7 64-bit

And in case people have problems installing it, I made a proof video showing that it works.
Its long since I did it all in one take:

I doubt the game will be that complex, I'll do what I did for Vehicles in Battlefield 3, use my wired 360 Blackops Controller with 2 extra pointless buttons. If I need to slap a button quickly the keyboard is a few inches away from me.

I'm looking at the Saitek x65f for my controls for Mechwarror

Oh lordy,

Mechwarrior is coming, and I finally can afford any controller I want (within reason). Better yet, it's on PC, so I can always bump up! I used a Microsoft Sidewinder back in the good old days of MW2 Titanium (The complete soundrack is on my playlist, along with GBL).

I hope multiple monitors work. Finally.

Anybody know what the simulator pods used? Folks seem to think it was a good setup.

I've got to bump this thread because I've been considering getting a CH products pedals set. I have two joysticks right now (picked up a Logitech Attack 3 for 5 dollars in mint condition).

But my question is if I can even find a use for the pedals when the two joysticks are probably enough? Attack 3 would be my left hand controller and used for acceleration, deceleration, turn left and turn right, and the Cyborg X on my right for torso movement (and reticule aiming).

So why would I even need pedals? The CH products pedals have 3 axis of movement, which means a lot of potential control capabilities. With that, I bet I could work with just pedals and a single joystick.

Yeah, pedals doesn't really have a use when you are using two sticks.

I'd actually prefer a joystick (with hat), throttle, and pedals.

But I'm stuck with kb+m for budget reasons...

I'm going to stick with my trusty Saitek X45 HOTAS controller. I don't have pedals for it but then I have never used them even for the Flightsim games I fly.

It may be old compared to the X 52 and the newer Warthog sets but it is still solid as a rock.
