Let's say you're a game developer, and you're in charge of finding ways to part the players from their sweet sweet money, what would you do?

Here's what I can think of, at the moment:

Different voice packs (Barking bob, GLaDOS /copyright issues would prevent that, but you know you would pay for her/)

Personalize you lasers color/sounds (Tie-Fighter lasers anyone?)

what else?

I'd pay cb for:

Mechs
Weapons
Ammo
Upgrades
Modules
Repairs

So, I think MC would be everything else, like
Decals
Camo
cockpit flare items: see that huge thread that has basically everything that should be put in.
Mech flare items that can be seen on the exterior of your mech:
- A big axe on the back of your mech (has no hit-box) It's made up of huge i-beams, piping, entwined rebar, sheet metal, compressed cars, etc and w/e.
- Sword and shield on the back
- Huge 2h sword on the back
- Bunny ears, cat ears, teddy bear ears
- A cape called the Iron Curtain
- Pink handlebar tassels off the side of the mechs arms
- Confetti jump jets
- Kazooe jump jet sound effects
- "BANG!" flag sticking out of a gun barrel on your mech.
Paint/Camo/Skins(i,e. rusted effect, where there's obvious streaks of rust, bullet holes, etc to make it look like a heaping pile of junk/second hand. I really want this. I want to pilot the crappiest looking piece of **** on the battle field, have my cockpit filled with coffee cups, dice, neon lights, women pictures, cockpit full of smoke and sparking buttons, snotty tissues, and yet get kill after kill/be the last one standing.)

I want a smashing tuxedo outfit with tophat and cane. I don't expect the cane to do anything, I just want it clutched in one mech fist like a proper gentleman. With a monocle too. Preferably over the non-cockpit eye (if appropriate) to confuse people.

They're really falling down on the 'spend money pointlessly' front, but hey "this is beta." So they continue to run with terrible system problems and not even give people a collection of stupid hats to stress over.

I wanna hear other people's thoughts

I'm also thinking different style of components. IE: on the Atlas, you can change your shoulder pad size and shape, different kinds of leg armor complexities/bulkyness, different kinds of faces, perhaps with different cockpit layouts? Would you pay MC to change the looks of your mech?

This pretty much. I would gladly pay for any alternative look for my mechs

Well, then, any others for buying different looks for your mech(i.e. different shoulder styles, head styles, differeny looking leg armor or chest armor, etc), or do you think that should already be part of the game?

Good idea! Given the current look of the pilots suit, I wouldn't mind a couple other ones to choose from lol.
Seeing the installment of achievements, I'd like to add to this idea and see your pilot get decorated with badges and pins and stuff. You can free look around your cockpit and you can see your chest sometimes..

Spend 100 bux in this game, get a private match selecting feature; and team invite feature so you can make custom 4v4 or 8v8 private games against each other, until the metagame is launched.


Make clan mechs subscriber or MC repaired only.

Force F2P players to sit through 5 unskippable ads for various energy drinks and ****** Zynga products, unless you spend MC to buy a Subscription.

I would like to see a bobble head or some other cocpit object that is MC purchaseable that you can only ever own one of, that gets attached to a specific mech that can never be changed. It allows you to create your own 'hero mech' granting the 30% cbill bonus. it would be even more awesome if your hero mech name was shown in game instead of/or in conjunction with the standard mech variant name.

Actually lets make it where each player drops a bobble head, and certain players with l337 k/d ratios drop special bobble heads.

Then set up an auction house, where players can gift or buy bobble heads for MC, but the MC goes to PGI.

Various other games can then pay to have their bobble heads put into MWO. And players can then pay MC to purchase those bobble heads for their mechs.
