It seems either excessive (for what is currently installed) or impactical due to noise and cooling issues.

The rack is for our network equipment, DC, and virtual server host (our sandbox). It also has our PBX system. It's no louder than other office equipment, and I've worked with my desk literally up against it before.

DO NOT PUT SUSPENSORY CHAIR INTO A GOOGLE SEARCH!
That is part of the internet I never want to go back to. The proper term for that chair is "
Euro Style Bungee Chair."

Right underneath the coffee pot!
Funny story, we actually call it the beer warmer. That's a story for another day though
Made by Lucas perchance ?
The fallibility of Lucas electrical components is a perennial source of both consternation and humor for the nutty, sometimes erudite enthusiasts of British sports cars and motorcycles.
Why do the English drink warm beer? Lucas made their refrigerators, too.
Lucas--inventor of the first intermittent wiper.
Lucas--inventor of the self-dimming headlamp.
During the 1970's, Lucas diversified its product line and began manufacturing vacuum cleaners. It was the only product Lucas ever offered which didn't suck.
It's not true that Lucas, in 1947, tried to get Parliament to repeal Ohms Law. They withdrew their efforts when they met too much resistance.
Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, and Joseph Lucas invented the short circuit.
How to make AIDS disappear? Give it a Lucas parts number.
I Know its not "Math Humor" But more people probably will get these jokes.

Um... well, the image shown above that looks like a harness seat with leg stirrups is... well, adult paraphernalia. Generally referred to as a 'sex swing', but also known as a 'suspension chair' or 'suspension swing'.
And searching for it will take you to some crazy places...
