MW:LL checkup
My dear players,
as you have all witnessed the last patch with 3rd PV for MWO we have some problem here. According to ISW database records, gameplay has deceased by 30% since 12v12 and just 2 games have been made since 3rdPV at all. And while I promised you that ISW would be 1stPV only, apparently I cannot hold this promise because of the current state of MWO.
But we could do something different, which I would like to present you here:

Have a small fork of ISW to play some MW:LL
I would like to create a fresh clone of the ISW database with just lets say 60 planets around Terra.
  • Minimum Team restriction 4 players.
  • Match sizes possible: 1v1 up to ... what ever you can handle
  • Every player can report battles ( you could play a whole evening and then report 50 or 60 Mechs at once, counting it as just one attack ^^ )
  • All units start with just 12 Mechs a Union dropshiip and a Scout jumpship as well as 4 Mechs garrison on every planet
  • Planet travel times for all planets reduced to maximum 3 days
  • some reworked market place to buy variants of mechs since MW:LL has some different approach to Mechs than MWO has
I understand, MW:LL might not be state of the art anymore and MW:LL is simply not the game we wanted to play in the first place. But MW:LL offers something MWO does not at the moment:
  • Lobbies
  • true team games up from 1v1
  • a solid netcode
  • and as MWO, it is free.
After all it would at least serve as a nice gap filler until MWO hopefully can rise again to meet player expectations one day.
If you would like the Idea, please shoot me a PM on the ISW webpage or mail me.
If we can get around 100 players together, I will open up the new fork for unit registration almost instantly.
Also you can come up with suggestions or general opinions here at the forum topic:
possible MW:LL fork
Thank you for your participation in ISW so far and for your kindness and patience with me when bugs or delays occurred in the league system.

Sincerely yours,
Gerald aka Grayson Marik

And for new players who did not play ISW until now: feel welcome and invited to play with us!

For anyone interested in giving this a go, and I do encourage it among players as we all love our Mechwarrior experiences regardless of where they come from, go here for a complete installation guide to get you up to speed with the game in as little time as possible!

Come play a totally different way. 1. You don't need to pay 30 dollars to use the mech you want, and two you dont need to grind your mech and pilot xp up. Your skill is 100% yours!
