Ok. we are setup on Enjin Hosting now. http://ronin-kensei.enjin.com/home

I will start hosting Meknet sessions next week for group training sessions.
Get Registered when you can.

Also, I am paying for this site hosting, I hate adds, but I think it will be worthy it the long run..

Yes I will set up a recruiting page for House, and MercCorp units as I promised.

If the "Lone Wolves" wanted that sort of jibberwhats, wouldn't they just join a faction or merc group? Why are you herding cats?

Ah no worries, continuity is better - makes things seem more put together.

Tyzh does bring up a valid point however. I like the idea a lot (I signed up lol), but I do hope that you can attract lone wolves to your site. Maybe you could advertise here a little - talk some more about the merc/house unit reputation aspects, the private area for lone wolves etc. Show people that this isnt a lone wolf unit - its a meeting point and to give them better rights.

There's a difference. An association of pilots in a faction would fight for their faction. A merc group fights for contracts for the group. A group of lone wolves fight as individuals, but may wish to chat outside battles to share experiences. Going with a merc group locks you in with the battle decisions of the group, but as an individual you can fight in any battle you choose.

Of course, there will be those who don't wish to associate at all, but there is a place for those who wish to form flexible associations.

In a way, faction MechWarriors have the least flexibility, Merc Group MechWarriors slightly more, and lone wolves the most, but there are advantages and disadvantages to each of the options.

Isn't it something about proper nouns pluralising singular entities?

IE. Toronto Maple Leafs, not Maple Leaves.

Basically, everyone in the group is a wolf, and though they are all being grouped together by virtue of what they are, they are not, in fact, a distinct group of 'wolves'; they are wolfs. This is the 'herd of mavericks' school of English.

Agreed, but I am a royal pain in the ***... I have a hard time throwing my hat ring with just anybody, and to claim putting a tattoo, or cattle brand on your backside gets you special privileges in MWO: yeah I got a finger for that too

but I love this damn game, I have 2 old Pentiums just to play BT: CHR & MW, and MW2-3.

SO I want to get in fights with you guys, and Against some of you as well, but I ain't getting tattoo'd yet

Loan wolf is not a proper noun. It would be common noun. Supposedly Maple Leaf is a proper noun because it refers specifically to the symbol of Canada, the leaf on the flag and not just any maple leaf -- if it did then it would also be a common noun.

Union works, is that like an oxymoron? Ducks, dodges watching out for pitchfork wielding mobs.

Outreach would be my feeling. I thought that's exactly why "Outreach" was made as a forum, to give mercs and the unaffiliated a place to talk that isn't "recruiting".

Since we don't sub-contract, I don't plan on being involved, but best of luck to you guys!

/me watches as you try to form the Lone Wolfs Union and then as a singularity forms above the building sucking everything down past the event horizon; never to be heard from again.

Paradox can not exist, even in the Battletech universe ;)
