This was a hot topic back in closed beta when individuals were sitting on hundreds of millions of C-Bills. Is this still a desired feature? and if so, how much would you set aside per match for your guild/clan/merc unit. 5%, 25%, 50% more? before or after founders mech and premium bonuses?

Should we be able to gift mechs, modules, and/or C-Bills to other players? even with the possibility of abuse through the F2P game model?

I recall PGI, though I can't find the reference, saying that they wanted no player to player cbill transaction of any kind. Is this incorrect?

It would lead to gold farming...

I think that's something interesting to bring up along with community warfare. Would certainly make joining groups and faction much more attractive than being a lone wolf.

I don't know about statements from the devs but player to player cbill transactions don't make any sense in the pseudoeconomy of this type of game. There is no marketplace or interaction with other than an "NPC Store." C-Bills aren't a proper currency, they are rather a measure of progress in the current implementation.

It would work if players could transfer only MC. Those only can be aquired from PGI, and people could give presents to friends etc, who can not afford them...

Not going to happen. the rich/old player could buy mech (with CB) for the new play that way, so PGI would lose out on MC sells

Lol. Think a bit before you post. If the MC has to be purchased, then it doesn't matter who purchased it, PGI still gets the money.

PGI would still be getting money from the old player, even if it was to fund the new player.

Change my post for you to CB only. The op was talking about CB. I don't thing PGI would have a problem with MC sent they would sell more that way.

Not nescessarily. The Old player could simply grind for C-bills, feel generous and purchase an atlas, fit it out with optimal hardware, then "sell" it to the other player.

As much as I like the idea of a Guild Bank, I think it would likely get too easily abused, especially by the larger houses.

Disclaimer: haven't played yet (been waiting for wife to get a betakey as well)

I would like to see player-to-player transfers enabled in some fashion. I can envision a team forming and developing tactics that may result in one team member consistently taking the brunt of the damage (simple example - scout goes out and turns the target around so the support could hit it in the back). If they play together a lot, and become good at their chosen tactic(s), it would make sense if others on the team could help pay for some of those repairs.

Or, I'm totally wrong because I'm missing an important aspect I can only learn through long hours of play time ;).

Yep. The problem is "WeHackU-dot-com, Atlas only $2.50, delivery in 15 minutes!!!1!!!" which is utterly inevitable with player-to-player trading. You have neither, or you have both, period. I'm perfectly willing to forego the chance to be a "kept Mechwarrior" if it means no bloody gold farmers spamming their accursed ads and the accompanying "OMG, I got hacked after I bought a Mech from some sleazy third-party lowlife" load on Support.

Rather than having C-Bill sharing/swapping how about a "Guild" Hanger.

What would a Guild hanger look like?
search for 'Guild Hanger' in the Forums

In previously published community warfare information Merc units will be able to set up their own pay-scale in a share system. The Merc leader could then assign a greater share of the reward to the members that fill the damage sponge role if they choose.

C-Bill farming has already been addressed with things like, trials getting locked in the match and disconnects not earning rewards for anything that happens after they quit. And that's by the people that actually play this game. Adding a c-bill transfer ability in any form will undoubtedly lead to people farming c-bills to sell for real world cash.

Remember once we get to Meta Game you will also have your Pay from your House based on your Loyalty score or from your Merc Unit based on whatever is decided in your unit....
