I dont really get how people dont understand legs ---> torso ^ or <---. Yeah I sometimes run into walls in the heat of battle too. Has more to do with my situational awareness than the controls. (Also a **** on of buildings on the ice map). Oh well I correct myself or die.

Honestly a series of actual tutorials would help more.

1. Movement
2. Advanced movement
3. Firing and pressing R
4. Firing and movement
5. Maps and spotting
6. Weapons how the **** do those work.
7. Mother ******* roles.

I really don't have too much issue with torso twist...Where I run into problems is when backing up. The controls are the opposite of what most people are used to. Early on we were told there would be options to have the controls reversed when backing up but as far as I know those have not yet been implemented. If they have please let me know so I can turn them on!

My issue with backing up is when my pug teammates stand behind me and block my walking path especially when i is a commando or jenner who is just sitting around doing nothing but oh shooting me in the back (I mean shooting the enemy) with lasers.

Or they could just add a Center "Legs to Torso" key like other MW games. I know I miss it when I want to change my legs to the direction I am currently facing quickly. New players could easily correct themselves this way.

I would support a button that will "auto center" your legs to the direction your facing, not however a button that keeps them facing that direction.

My issue with backing up

Backing up is generally a bad idea anyway since it cuts your speed significantly. Most players crest hills by moving forward up the slope, firing, then moving backward down the slope. And they generally take a lot more damage because it takes time to decelerate and accelerate backwards.

Its usually better to crest hills by walking at a 45 degree angle or so up the slope, torso twisting to shoot, then just turning your mech 90 degrees and walking back down the slope when you want to retreat back into cover. That way youre always moving at your fastest speed and youre never exposing yourself more than you have to.

I almost never use the reverse throttle, unless im playing my Atlas, because then speed doesnt really matter since youre slower than everyone else anyway. And when youre in an Atlas you dont want to give someone your back so reversing into a rock wall is sometimes a necessity.

Yep. The two most confusing aspects of the game for new players are torso twisting and having seperate reticles for arm and torso weapons.

And its a simple thing to fix with 3 commands: lock torso/rotate legs to torso/and lock arm reticle to torso reticle.
