Suggestion: Please allow the user to bind any key as a toggle, rather than a push&hold control, and vice versa. If a toggle control is pressed, the game should act as it currently does when that key is held down, until it is pressed again. Similarly, there are some controls currently which act as toggles (battlegrid, vision modes) which players should have to option to use as push&hold keys.
Use: There are many controls which it would be advantageous to have "always on": firing TAG or other continuous fire weapons, freelook (for twisting your torso one way and firing with your arms the other), and show target info (Q). This allows you to control more functions at once without needing to grow extra fingers.
Rationale: Many players are already doing this, using hardware macros or simply software like Windows StickyKeys. Not having this functionality in the game puts ordinary players at a (minor) disadvantage to those with expensive gaming peripherals.
Note: I have so far been unable to create a working AutoHotKey toggle script for MWO. If anyone happens to have a script that allows toggle-firing TAG, could they please give me a copy? I'd be ever so grateful.
