As the topic title suggests, I would like to request a clearer indication of the actual values being *registered* as hits by the server.

I would like to suggest color coding the reticle for hits based on a percentage scale:
85-100% : Red
70-84%: Light Red
50-69%: Pink

And so on.

The problems with hit detection, netcode, and actual hit registration by the server are well documented -- but its hard sometimes to judge by how much one has to lead the target to get the best damage result under the current system.

With color codes for damage it will be easier to adjust aim to compensate for the various issues. I think it will come as no surprise when we actually see that our dead-center laser strikes are often not registering at all, or registering for a tiny fraction of expected damage...

Fundamentally what I am trying to get at is that with lasers in particular, the possibility for doing less than max damage seems not only a possibility, but a certainty. We kinda need a scale to see how well we are aiming and compensating for various issues (lag, netcode, hit-detection, and so on).
