There are a number of loadouts that work well. It really depends on what you want to do. http://www.mechspecs.com has some builds you can work from and you can always download mech bay java app to tinker around with: http://www.mechspecs...at-Lab-Programs

I go four medium lasers, two SRM 4 with Artemis, AMS, and two tons of ammo for each.

Artemis is a waste, by the way, so either go with SRM 4 and a bigger engine or just keep the SRM 6.

THEORETICALLY, the most "powerful" alpha strike value load is 5 medium lasers and two SRM 6, but this sacrifices one additional heatsink for one more laser. I prefer to have all arm mounted lasers and one more heatsink.

so basicly change nothing since i already have 2 med lazers per arm,endo-steel,TAG where a small lazer used to be and kept the SRMs that came with it??

I did this but with double heat sinks for added heat efficiency and an ever so slightly bigger 210 engine to make up the extra tonnage.
Also did away with the small laser cause I don't like them.

Skip the tag, either put in a 5th medium laser or add another heatsink somewhere. Make sure you have dual heatsinks, it won't work without them. I haven't seen enough benefit on TAG for my own missiles, and I'm not spotting for LRM. People blow you away when they see you TAG spotting.

Yeah, you need the double sinks. IF you are BRAAAVE, you can go up to an XL250 for the better heat profile.

I like 4 ML and 2x SRM6, but DHS is mandatory. 250 SFE as well.

doesnt XL engines make your mech more prone to blowing up??

Yes, that's why I said 'If you're BRAAAVE..."

The XL means you will be OUT OF THE MATCH when someone blows off one shoulder, instead of just seriously damaged. I don't use XL anymore, on any mech. If you play in a team, the chances are less that you will get focus fire killed, because there are more people working effectively. In pug play, I think XL engines are a bad idea. I have heard from people who make it work for them. I don't risk it.

But, a 250 rating engine makes your heatsinks work "better" by math because you have two more sinks running at 2.0 instead of 1.4.

When I ran my HBK-4SP i did it with 4 medium pulse and 2 streaks srmX2. But Honeslty its more about your play style.

5 mediums, standard 250. Double heatsinks. endosteel. streaks. Yes streaks. Until knockdowns get readded or the netcode signficantly improves, streaks are the only thing keeping jenners from being the only mech worth driving.

I can use standard SRM decently against anything that isn't moving at 100+kph. Well, moving more than 70.

Ok fine, I use them when people stop, shut down, slow to turn, or get stuck somewhere.

Yeah I wouldn't reccomend an XL engine, the side torso's are too big a target on a hunchback.

I just use the stock-variant for it! Tried using artemis with it, but nah. I like the SRM6's as a lil' "shotgun" so to speak. Scrap the head-laser, get endo-steel in, slap in a couple more heatsinks, and you're golden. Works fine for me, as I'm always rolling in a team with a couple mates. Not much of a problem-solver, but solid damage overall.
