I would not mind torso to legs, but in general the best advice:
hit C
turn back to your target.
For new players, hitting C is always your best bet.

i dont need help , i is not a feature i need to see in game.
i dont think that there is a a problem at all.
but thats competly irrelevant!!! its simply not the point.
the suggestion was posted here in the suggestions to the devs to give them a fu****** alternative to the 3rd PV .
stop lectoring me about the hud and the mech mechanics.
the point is that the devs think they NEED to help noobs and all i do is desperatly looking for something to avoid 3rd PV

Well golly gee-whiz. Nobody said YOU need to L2P. Take your meds.

Ignoring all the L2P remarks in the previous posts, I have to say I agree with the OP, it doesn't matter what your preferences or mine are, if it's either this or third person, I choose this. There are other real reasons to want this in the game but not wanting the game to become third person should be enough.

I would like to have a keybind for each function. Center legs to torso and center torso to legs.

oh yes, i am all for playable trainign grounds, but still, this doesn't clarify to me, why we shoudl not have a key to center legs to torso, when most other mechwarrior games had it - i didn't use those keys ever, but still.
btw. the picture you posted:
It is nicely done and a kind idea, but it also shwos the problem, there is TONS of information on the screen and new players ARE overwhelmed by that. Of course they need to learn to deal with it as any of us had to, but again: i think a simple key to help them isn't wrong at all.
first off. I did not do that picture, took it from the thread I linked. Secondly, I am NOT against a key that is legs to torso and a key that is torso to legs alignment. BUT, here is the thing, I learned what my screen says, YOU did, as did we all. They can too. Again, I NEVER, not once said to NOT have a key that aligns our mech to either torso or legs, as I think thats a great idea. The thing I am against, is a third person view XD.

Centering the torso to the legs is just a matter of pressing the C key.
I'd love to see an option where a 3D joystick (or foot pedals) would automatically adjust depending on how much toque you place on the rudder like you had in MW2 and 3.

I fully support this request and have posted about it in the past. I'm in my 40's and have played every previous mechwarrior, hosting LAN nights and played in the league. This option has been available in all other version. No reason to not have this time.
The argument about how you turn a car is backwards. If you start to make a right hand turn you turn your head first, then you look straight ahead for an instant to make sure your clear BUT then you turn your head back to watch WHERE YOU ARE GOING while you turn your wheel and the whole car turns to match where your looking. If we all looked straight ahead and turned, while only looking straight ahead, we would all kill alot of pedestrians who are just out side of our field of view who decided to enter the crosswalk as we are turning. Try taking note while you drive. You will see just how your neck swivels in relation to your car during turns.

Add a different button. It would help new players. It would give more control options to experinced players which I would like.

This thing should be applied with one "must-have" and one "maybe-should-have" restrictions:
1) legs must twist with the turning speed they have, not instantly. So, if you twist your torso from left to right and back with the button pressed - then legs would try to chase torso twist with their own speed.
2) maybe, when you press button to center your legs to torso, your forth(or backward) speed of legs should be nullified. Imagine you've run into the wall. There's no point to bang it all the way, while your legs twisting.
