Hi,
I don't know how it happened; but here is what's going on.
Founder Atlas (4 medium laser, 2 arms, 2 center torso).
Group 1: Arm mounted lasers (Left mouse button)
Group 2: CT lasers (Right mouse button)
At some point in a match noticed that my laser voley only had 3 light streaks. I assumed I had not noticed a weapons getting destoyed, and pushed on.
Started noticing what appeared to be a shift in the position of one of the laser streak between shots. Ignored it, was busy chewing armor...
Match ends,
Repair all in mech bay,
New match,
do a weapons fire check; only 3 laser fire.
Looking at my groups, thinking i might have disabled a laser I see this black square flashing and going down the group 1 column.
My thinking, is what is that **** now?
The condition is present on all my subsequent match I joined since then; well until the game crashed 3-4 match later.
If it's a new feature; DOCUMENT IT. It's feel like the defective jam logic with the Ultra -5, no feedback on what's going on and how to fix it.
If it's a functional bug, file it for fixing.
Thanks,

ok this is a feature not a bug , how you accidentally turned it on i dont know (perhaps typing with out chat on)
use you weapon config keys to navigate to the desired weapon group (arrow keys)
make sure you align the horizontal and vertical selectors
press BACKSPACE
this will enable chain fire mode (or disable if it is already on)
this fire mode is very useful in mechs that produce alot of heat
or for rocking affects (dual ac5 or multiple LRM launchers are great for chain fire)

Your arms group (Group 1) probably got changed to chain-fire by you inadvertently hitting backspace.

Thanks guys,
It might be typing in before the chat box comes up; I've had issue with the chat box from time to time. mostly when you just die and type before the animations finishes. Might be that.
Something more descriptive on the group controls should be considered, there are still documentation around where backslash is tha Alpha strike.
I'll give it a shot,
Thanks again.

The group numbers flash sequentially for a group set to chain fire. You just aren't paying attention.
