I know one thing is when a development company makes a massive Patch mistake or decides to head in a direction that even they know is completely wrong or will bring the end of there game. They will stick to there guns and denounce anything negative said agained them. Company's don't like to make mistakes, so the best thing to do is ignore it.

PGI your not the first. You wont be the last. But it is probably the most depressing of them all.

TL:DR too busy blowing **** up in a giant stompy mech.

There's no gaurantee that it will be released Tuesday. A lot of dates have been missed by PGI. And quite frankly who knows how well it will work. No class or weight limits doesn't really sound like much of a matchmaking system to me. I have a feeling there will be a lot of 'hardcore' players with sore butts when phase 2 is released. Most of them aren't 1/4 as good as they think they are. A small portion of the community will be stomping 8 mans IMO.

They already said that the groups would likely have longer queue times. If they added class and weight limits into matching, the queue times would be even longer and lead to just as much if not more QQ.

There was never a statement it would be in Tuesday, to my knowledge. People are largely assuming.

I wish it was forum policy to just instantly delete threads that were this pointless and negative. Why did you bother taking the time to post it in the first place? What possible effect did you hope to have except contributing to the mindless noise that drowns out all the actual discussion?

If you have something intelligent to say, please post. If you just want to complain that people aren't listening to you, please GO AWAY and do something else more productive with your time. Being this upset about the development progress of a free video game IS COMPLETELY INSANE.

I think you whiners are smoking crack with all your "I've been playing and the game seems like crap, with nothing but afkers, tkers, **kers and what nots".

I seem no more or less pinheads (afkers, tkers, complete newbs that can't shoot their way out of a paper bag) playing today than were a month ago. The game most definitely needs a shot in the arm with new mechs, new game modes and big fixes but stop whining about stuff and just admit your bored. Go play something else for a couple weeks until some new updates get in.

Oh I understand why they didn't put any weight or class limits - because they have a very small playerbase for 8v8.

I still don't think a matchmaking system that only counts the number of players on a team is much of a matchmaking system. We shall see how it goes, I personally think it's going to be hilarious and most people will end up going back to 4 man teams within a week.

*Yawn* yeah that is why I see a lot of people still talking about it in other games...oh and how hard it is to find a match right?

This game is fine, it is continuing to grow and people are having fun....just because you aren't doesn't mean people aren't as well.

If you also think WELL LOOK AT ALL THE FORUM PEOPLE COMPLAINING! Yeah that's the vocal MINORITY that like to come on the forum just to complain.

Moral of the story, they are working on features + bugs and the game is fine.

Good thing Phase 2 isn't the end. Phase 3 with modified elo probably won't even be the end.

I'm still playing, although I have been PUGing (I really hate it, it's just not my cup of tea), this is because there is less people/friends playing on TS3. I hope they do have 8vs8 on the 20th, but they have not always been on time with thier roll-out dates.

How do you know if the playerbase is growing or not? There were a lot less players in the TS server tonight that I've seen for a while on a weekend. It could just be a fluke for sure...please show us some numbers on how much the playerbase is growing.

And world peace will come right after phase 3. Do you have any idea how long it will probably be until phase 3? Do you think the game will survive that long if phase 2 tanks? I don't.

The PGI should be proud, they are making a good mech simulator.

TL;DR I suck and therefore I need a full 8 man group to feel good about myself and cannot stand on my own two feet and be a team player and work closer with my lance.

I still play everyday almost, and there's always people playing. The lonewolf teamspeak has like 3 groups dropping almost every night. I think it's just you that doesn't want to play, and your crying about it on the forums instead of just quiting.

Of course it is just anecdotal evidence, but since the mm-fix I feel like I am seeing a lot of new names.
The game got a lot better for those people that PUG.

I would ask you politely to speak for yourself. I'm still here, I'm not an AFK or TKer and I considered the money I spent on my Founders pack money well spent before Closed Beta was even over. I've spent far more per gaming hour on fully released games.

I've never used the NGNG TS before but the NA and EU TS servers are as busy with 4 man groups as they ever were! This may be your experience on that TS server but I will categorically deny that it is mine.

I get it. I really do. You are bored, frustrated with a game you have a high emotional investment in and you feel like it is failing when you desperately want it to succeed. I would point out, however, is this is really the best approach to getting your point across? Emotive, combative, condescending arguments have the immediate consequence of creating instant opposition, if they are not dismissed outright.

Please, do you not remember what the first matchmaker was like? Most of us were teams on TS and many times we tried to exploit the matchmaker to deliberately drop against each other! There were no drop classes, we often did amusement drops of 1 Awesome and 7 Jenners just for the fun of it. (In fact, some of these are on Youtube). Don't project how you feel about those who choose to group up on to those said same people. I am looking forward to the new matchmaker despite how you believe I feel!

No I don't. But what I do know is that current games that have matchmakers are still tweaking them and messing with them and none of them had a decent matchmaker tilla year or more after release.

Never said it was fine, it was a stupid idea, but its more the game breaking removal of collisions is what's keeping my group away rather than the screwing over of 5-7 man groups.

Literally anything PGI will do will cause a "this game is dying because ____" reaction.
Seriously, its the nature of official game forums.
In fact, il sit here and weight while someone gives me the name of a F2P game where in the forums they don't talk about how its going to die and how much it sucks.

Literally, through all these years of gaming. The only logical conclusion for actually having forums is to have some place to actually stick people like that so they don't bug you elsewhere. Its essentially really well masked consumer control. Because theirs no way they're getting anything useful out of it.

Hell, its rare that the official forums actually have something thats beneficial to the actual community.
