Okay founders, here is a question for you! Once they give us that button, when do you plan on turning it on? Are you waiting for something specific to be added into the game like a mech or something else?

I for one, am waiting to turn my founders clock on, for the arrival of Clan Factions as a playable option. I am, by my own history in this franchise, more of a Clan Wolf player than anything else, and I do not care much for the InnerSphere style of game play. So, thats my own personal answer to my above question, what is yours?

I'll turn it on when they release community warfare, or the clans hit, or there's something new to grind for, OR there's something - anything - worthwhile to spend MC on.

At their current rate, that means it could be awhile.

No. I'm not using premium for this.

I will miss the doubled XP, I really will. But the only thing it will mean for my CB is that I stop making builds on a whim. I buy mechs more slowly, don't customize them a whole lot, and fully exploit the free repair system.

turning it on immediately. money you make now you keep, so it makes little difference if you make it early on or later

Probably start the timer as soon as possible. If I want more premium time I'll use my founders MC. When that runs out, if I'm still interested in MWO, I'll buy more MC and premium time.

Ill wait a long time, game has way to many bugs and balancing issues, also content is nothing, maps are extremely small and lame.
i do like MW 1-4 so ill wait and give this a chance, currently its not even close to worth it.

elaborating a bit on my own choice here. I am as I said, a Clanner, as my sig says, Clan Wolf. I LOVE the Timber Wolf or, for the freebirths <shudder> Madcat pilot, and every single ounce of bonus I can cram into the Timber Wolf, I am going to, hence my reasoning for holding my clock until then XD

Now.

Later on I won't need the xp or the cbills. Both are primarily useful for building up your mech inventory and unlocking pilot skills. Once that is done, which it will be before too long, it is no longer that important to me, unless they add more things to use XP on.

I'm torn between turning it on pretty much immediately (I don't plan on not playing, so as long as I keep earning c-bills the premium time will be worth it) and waiting until something really exciting comes along (but since I have no idea what that'd be, having such a vague timeline seems less than useful). Right now I'm inclining toward pretty much immediate activation, especially since I've got some vacation time coming up over the Christmas-New Year time frame.

Community warfare once it is implimented/not buggy. Then i'll actually put serious time into the game and make the most out of the premium.

well, to be fair, those of us in the Elite/Legendary Founders packages, have the Founders Mechs to help with the cbill grind, but, again, I am preparing myself for the brutal grind I will face in my Timber Wolf once that becomes an option, and will have one heck of a hill to charge up against those who already spent said clock lol.

the only benefit i see to saving it for later is if you want to use the XP bonus for mechs not yet released. certainly a valid reasoning, but grinding xp isn't really that bad if you have a nice bankroll already

I think a lot of us are saving it to make the most out of it. What I mean by this is that yeah I could start it now and get some CB from it. But right now I play maybe 2-3 times a week.

Where as once they flesh the game out a little bit and it has more content/flesh to the game I will likely increase my play from 2-3 times a week to 5-6 times a week. So for me it makes more sense to save it to when I plan on playing the game a lot more due to having more things in it too keep my interest.

I don't think there'll be anything left for me to grind, come the patch on the 20th. I should purchase a third atlas, and allocate all the XP on the RS and founder, but I hate the double-D variant.

Everything I like is at elite already. There's not many mechs I even want to try, and out of the unreleased ones, only the highlander interests me.

I will activate it as soon as I can, and I plan on keeping premium time running for quite a while. Possibly till the day they turn off the servers.

I'm gonna try to wait a day or two just so I can feel out the non-premium life. If it isn't too bad I may wait a while but if it is too much of a struggle I'm clicking it.

I will probably do it once the community warfare system is implemented in at least a rudimentary way.
