Mon. Nov 12, 3049: Comstar intelligence reports extended loss of communication with Explorer Corps and ROM agents working within the Hanseatic League. The sudden halt of communication came shortley after field reports of the Hanseatic League greatly reducing it's trade activities in the region. Previous reports indicated an uptick in Hansa Security Force military exercises and stockpiling of normally highly traded supplies.

I don't think the hanseatic league is in the path of the clans... isn't it more towards the steiner side of things?

Hanseatic League merchants are direct competitors of other Periphery traders, especially those of the Diamond Sharks, and military actions have been taken by both parties. These open hostilities culminated in 3055 with a skirmish near the Chainelane Isles, in which the Hansa lost 2 Jumpships
