I'm sure I'm not the only one that would buy in to another Founder's program but this time for the Clan invasion mechs.

Real quick, was excited after work thinking about something like this.

EDIT: I figured a Medium, two Heavies and an Assault, because I'd be quite sad if I didn't get my Mad Dog.
Also, I would have used the proper font but it costs 39 dollars X_X So I stuck with the standard.

If they were modeled like that from the upgraded art TROs. Yeah, I'd dole out cash in an instant. Beautiful.

all depends on how they did clan omnis:D if they made alts another mechs, BOOO. consider that all wep pods should be able to switch on the fly, meaning the prime only one u need. sure founder we go. want to see how they handle clan mechs first.

I really don't mind if they just stick with the hardpoint system to keep clan mechs equal. I just want them.

I need hard facts before deciding whether or not to 'clan out' when they're available.

Like what PGI is doing to keep the IS playerbase robust enough to actually fight the clans. The Clan playerbase should be limited, whereas the IS base should be unlimited.

If the buy-in is cheap enough, everyone will clan, and then really what is the point of a galaxy map? We're back to beta-style deathmatches where everyone is in a clan mech screaming clanspeech at each other but PLAYING like IS jackarses.

Well 'honorable' clan behavior is honestly limited. Just like most people that practice religion, there is how you're 'supposed' to act and operate, and then there is reality.

Smoke Jaguar is notorious for their dishonorable behavior in combat.

Why would they need to do that?

Nearly everything on OmniMechs is locked. Armor values, armor allocation, engines, internals (that means critical slots are locked), etc. Some of them even come with fixed components like Flamers, and Jump Jets that are hardwired and unable to be moved.

OmniMechs are gimped enough without some arbitrary hardpoint system to exasperate this.

I realize, I meant just stick the clan chassis into the existing system. That way balance isn't an issue, and it would keep things fun.

Whatever they do I'm piloting the clan mechs, I really don't care I just want them however they're iterated.

And I would politely shut my mouth when fighting anyone who RPd as CSJ. I'm just tired of people from other clans, like the group of Jade Falcons I played once (a clan staunchly rigid in its zelbregen philosophy) who play like frat boys.

Not that it matters, since PGI hinted that they'll be having some kind of mechanic to control who gets into what clans. You won't just be adding a tag to your name. Hopefully they even start forcing some account username changes.

What you're saying is that basically they should actually make OmniMechs worse than BattleMechs (moreso than they already are). You're not going to be having "fun" if you're dying to Splatcats instantaneously, no matter how "advanced" your Ryoken is.

Clan Founders packages come up pretty often whenever people start talking about ways PGI can make money. I'd be surprised if they didn't wind up doing something like this. It'd just be leaving money on the table.

How about this. You just have to buy the Prime version, but you then have to buy the omni pods (obviously cheaper than another mech) to change the hardpoints of that of the other variants. You can free switch the omni paods thus change variants, and also change the weapons in the omni pods according to the hardpoints of the omni pod you are using?.
