If you're referring to the 690, then good luck with that, since it's physically impossible to use more than two <_<

Three 690s would be a total of six GPUs, and graphics drivers are not designed to take advantage of more than four. Even then, the third and fourth give absolutely abysmal performance returns, more often than not.

But for some reason they do reduce microstuttering apparently, so if you're spending an extra $1000 to remove microstuttering, go all for it.

Yeah, that's basically it. The third GPU would give very modest gains, while the fourth GPU would give basically nothing, so having two 690s is basically like having one, performance-wise, except for a bit less microstutter (assuming one plays at decent framerates to begin with).

I guess that's worth $1000 to some people, along with bragging rights? The third 690 would, of course, just earn bragging rights, because it would sit there, unrecognized by the OS, twiddling its thumbs <_<

The interface to your digital world is via your graphics card.. other than raw speed, I can see nothing more important that the Display and Video card.

Thousand bucks... every couple of years.. that's easy. Remember I skip a gen each launch. So I didn't get a 5xx and I been saving for a long time for this. I'm still on a 480, two years from my upgrade, I'll still be using the one I purchase this summer.

Saving pennies for 2 years is way better than owing on credit or ramen every night for a month. So I need something that wont get totally bogged in 2 years. The only bragging, is that I planned ahead.

What motherboards could you plug 3 GTX 690 cards into?

Why would anyone even try to seeing as the third card couldn't be used... except for bragging rights. Really, is $1000 for bragging rights really worth it?

And any eATX motherboard, and most high end ATX motherboards have 2 slot spaced PCIe x16 slots, however you would have to be running AMD AM3+ 990x/fx, Intel LGA 1155 Z77, or a Intel 2011 socket board in order to actually get any decent speed out of the cards.

$1000.00?!??? Really?

People will pay that kinda money for a graphics card? I think the most I EVER paid in my heyday of money making (you know, before I became a public servant) was like 600.00$

I did. And I am loving it. Runs MWO like a champ.

I want a GPU-Z and CPU-Z verification from you, as well as a video stating what resolution and quality you run in as well as your average + your minimum FPS on River City as you do your own watermarked Fraps/MSIAB/whatever run.

Then we'll see if the money you spent (edit: and the necroposting you did) is something we ought to be aspiring to right now.

His results would be the exact same as if he had a GTX 680 as SLI is not supported by MW:O. Nice bang for the buck there, he/she is getting the performance of a $400 video card solution for $1000(as far as MW:O is concerned that is).
