Is there any intention to ban people who are using the team speak overlay, since the overlay has the similiar characteristics as the AIMBOT program??

It must be really frustrating for all those people using aimbots that they can literally never hit a lag shielded light or medium.

You need to run teamspeak first, and as administrator, then you open up mechwarrior and it works great

I found a reason. If you have a low end computer it could cause a black screen crash.

In the past there have been some issues with it working right with MW:O and people even going as far to say it causes them to crash to desktop bug more frequently.

^ This...it only shows who's talking and can show ur frame rate (which is already build into the game) and I think it can give you other info like when someone joins Teamspeak can get a notification...thats about it

Seems glitchy to me. I can't get it to be stable.

Let's get to the real issue here people still using Teamspeak really?

I think what OP means is that the TS overlay is a 3rd party software that runs when MWO runs, thus has the same characteristics as an aimbot program.

Aimbot=3rd party programs that run with MWO

TS overlay=3rd parry programs that run with MWO

So i think his concern is that how does PGI know which program is which? does PGI know that the user is running either a TS overlay or an Aimbot? would a user be banned if he uses TS overlay but PGI registers it as an illegal 3rd party software?

i think his concern is valid, we are not sure how PGI detects the usage of 3rd party programs, for what we know all 3rd party program might be classified as an illegal.

Its easy to tell the difference in overlay and aimbot/hacks.
It really depends if and what programs they are or will be using to monitor the servers.
