Make Kill Assist Reward Proportional To Damage Dealt

It's really frustrating to cause 70% of the damage to a mech, only to have the killshot sniped by another player on your team. I'm glad the bad guy is dead, but I'd like a little more than 2000 CB and 25 XP for my work. ;) Any way to make this proportional to how much damage you actually dealt to the mech?

You get as much as the guy that gets the killshot. In addition you did more damage thus you get more credits from that. It is good as is.

more damage is not always good...

remember a head shot kills a enemy with 30(?) damage points
meanwhile someone could have done 300 damage all over the enemy's body without kill it... (wasted damage)

and you get less salvage killing a enemy by center torso

I am not saying you are playing wrong, but the one with more damage made do not equal more work done
as said by Noth, you get cbill for damage, that should help doing it equal with the other guy

Truth. But it's hard to peg someone in the same place repeatedly with the gauss rifle at 600+ meters...haven't quite dialed down that skill just yet. :(
