Couple that with a new fusion engine that I was reading about(cant find the article) and an article on energy based weapons(that I also cant seem to find now) and we have them. The article on energy weapons had someone from the defense dept. talking about how the only real problems with energy weapons now was with integration, not actually making them, cause we really do have them.
