Looking around in the FRR mech list (http://www.sarna.net...lic_BattleMechs) I've found the Viking (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Viking), it's absolutely PERFECT!
What do you think about it?

The Viking is a beautiful missileboat with nice armaments.
2x LRM 20 with Artemis IV, 2x LRM 15 with Artemis IV combined with 2x Small Lasers and 4x Machine Guns? Heck ... Yes! Why not!

Not a big fan of the Look but in the end not really gonna matter as you wont see it for 10 years. Or there abouts anyway.

The Nordic themed mechs, i.e. Beowulf, Beserker, Viking... We won't see for a looonnng time to come. I'd love to get my hands on the latter two though.

I would enjoy a Berserker as well, but really as a scout the Hitman would be great and it already comes with horns on it.

Not sure if I'm a fan of the machine guns on the knee joints, but other than that it is definately a nice missle boat set up..

While it wouldn't be the Viking, and either option is 5 tons lighter... you should be able to make a "Viking" using either the Longbow or Stalker. I'm pretty positive we'll get one of those. <_<

The Stalker looks too much like tube steak to my liking.

The artwork looks bad, but the real model looks decent, imo. <_<

I'm not a huge fan of the humpback whale head myself. It's one of those that I like the capabilities but not the style.

Personally, I don't think the Viking should have been a LRM boat.

Requires more horned helmets and melee? <_<

Also, I wonder how he fares against the Longbow, Vikings vs English you know. :P

I will admit that it's a pretty damned decent missile boat, that's for sure. I just wish it had horns....

Also not a big fan of machine guns on gimbals on the knee joints e

Is that a tail coming down between its legs?

I think it's a "tail" with some killer sub-woofers.

Yes. A part of the reason I like English. Norman, Germanic, Latin, French, all formed that language. That makes the language kinda easy to learn. <_<
