Wow, I would be pissed had I bought one of the founders Jenners or Atlas. You pay all that money to buy into the founders group only to get boned in the end if you own a Jenner or Atlas.

First of all I paid my $60 for the Founders Hunchie and I'm not impressed with that mech, but I have a setup that works on it now. Secondly I've been around for a while. I've seen every change and watched every gripe and "I want my money back" etc. This I feel is a legitimate complaint about the Founders packs, or two of the four mechs in the founders pack. I feel bad enough for the people who paid $60 for just one mech, but those that spent $120 and have all four, wow rip off! You got boned hard!

Here's the issue I see with the Founders Jenner and Atlas, a total lack of ECM. The Jenner is a death trap now with the Raven having ECM, I have a guy on my team that hands down was one of the best Jenner pilots in the game, since the ECM Raven came out he's abandoned his Jenners in favor of ECM ravens and Cicada's even though he loves Jenners the most. What makes it even more upsetting is that the people who spent the money upfront in advance have gotten boned by the fact that their founders pack Jenner is now totally and completely a useless POS. Sure there will be some who want to argue it's still good, but no, it is not, that's just you wanting to believe it! You have to stay in the ravens bubble, if you don't you die, if the raven dies, your next for sure, it's just useless now. Give the Founders Jenner ECM.

The Atlas, while not as bad off as the Founders Jenner, only makes an appearance in rare situations, because everyone who likes the Atlas pilots the D-DC because it has ECM and was a better variant then the D anyway. So even the Founders Atlas is relegated to the back of the line in your mech lab.

The Jenner needs an ECM variant, so why not the Jenner D(F) and the Founders Atlas needs to have a reason to be used, so why not make the Atlas D(F) ECM capable?

As for the D-DC, it was already a better variant then the rest of the Atlas line, so wtf were you thinking making it ECM capable. If you'd have made the D ECM instead, then at the very least there would be a reason to take it over the D-DC. Now the only Atlas on the field is the D-DC.

I totally agree. Add ECM to the Jenner D and stip the DDC and make it the D also!

While I could possibly agree with the founders Atlas idea, I think you are crazy when it comes to jenner. It was already the best light, if you stuck ecm on it, there would be 0 reason for people to pilot commandos or ravens, as a matter of fact before the ECM patch went live, Jenner was on the list of the mechs to get it... The community was in the uproar and PGI listened... so good luck with that one.

Lower thi hit points on it or make it that it is

1. expensive
2. more tonnage
3. more slots

so say make it a 10 mill cbill
weigh 5 tons
take up 5 slots

either or make the pilot have to sacrifice something serious to get it. For such a powerful tool. he has to gimp himself somehow.

I've had a build for my Founders Atlas which has worked well for me, since closed-beta and still today.
This just sounds like you're pissed because you can't work a decent build out, which I'm really shocked at, seeing as you're okay with the founders hunchback. Have you played any of the other hunchbacks?

I feel that people keep assuming that the Jenner would be gaining ECM without having to make any fitting decisions. At the time that ECM went live, the fact that you could get full benefit from the JJ for near-zero investment would've indeed made this the case, so the Jenner would've been OP. However, this is now untrue after the JJ fix. Once you factor the additional weight of ECM in, the Jenner D (Streaks being equal, ofc) has three main configs to the Raven 3L's 3 Medium lasers: JJ and 4 Small Lasers, 4 Medium lasers w/o JJ and minus 1/2 ton armor and only 1t Streak ammo to add HS, or 2 Mediums+2 Smalls with a single JJ for dogfighting purposes. I'd hardly call that OP. I'd call that competitive, but close to being balanced. It would be much better than the current where it's go Raven or go home.

Of course, I could live with them not buffing the Jenner if they would just fix ECM's underlying hilariously overpowered nature.

I both agree and disagree with OP.

Do I feel that my FATLAS hasn't lived up to what I'd hoped it would be, compared to other mechs? Yes.
Do I feel ripped off for purchasing it? No
Do I feel I should have been able to CHOOSE which variant I used as my Founder's version, considering the hardpoint layouts are identical to the non-founder's version? ABSOLUTELY. Had I been able to choose the RS as my founder's version, I would be laughing all the way to the bank.

The problem with the founder mechs is not ECM. I think while the ECM atlas especially, is potentially an atom bomb of power(I've been smoked so many times by an atlas I didn't see coming...), it can be countered like anything else. If you had said "hey, here's one of four founder's mechs, choose which variant you want to stomp people's faces with", I would have been overjoyed. As it stands right now, I rarely use my FATLAS. I have a loadout that works reasonably well in most scenarios (LRM, twin LL, AC10). It just doesn't stack up when compared to other variants of the same mech. The 25-30% cbill bonus(I don't recall ever seeing that they were raising the bonus from the initial 25% boost they promised on founders' mechs), doesn't offset the better loadouts I can run on other mechs; ECM aside.

Devs, give EVERY mech the capability to mount ECM, I dare you.

It will be more widely used than an AMS back in the days of LRMwarrior Online - you know, when they doubled LRM damage, and anything without AMS was garbage?

Im sure he can make decent builds for it.

He just wants ECM on everything he has.
