The only thing that could make that passible is if it was called 'The Owlbear'.

When I saw this, I couldn't decide whether to laugh at it's ridiculousness, or barf.

What eventually came out of my mouth sounded like a pitbull gargling cake batter.

That sound still made more sense than the design of that atrocity.

So did you larf?

Now you know the real reason why the IS annihilated the Smoke Jaguars. For inventing this kind of [REDACTED] idiocy.

What is a ProtoMech compared to the joke that creates it?

Protomechs are the ones that require Protoculture to run. The clans used them to fight off giant enemies that accidentally lost a huge transforming robot ship which crashed in the Macross Cluster right next to the Core Worlds on Minmai.... who doesn't not know none of this stuff? Great Admiral Rick Kerensky took his task force hunter to wail on them on his way back to earth to help fight the southern cross guys against Devlin Stone's Invid farces. Basic lore mismanagement 101... c'mon!

The basic idea of protomechs is sound, but the way they did it, its worse than the Ragnarok's lava gun; and that takes skill

Did anyone else look at that and instantly go:

"Form feet and legs; form arms and torso; and I'll form the head!"

Also, what is the point of these P.O.S. monstrosities if they are heavier than Elemental BA yet carry less weaponry?! Seriously, the Elementals had the mech grade SL, TWO SRMs, and a machine gun.

Okay, that looks completely bad ***; it doesn't look particularly BT, but it looks feral, aggressive, and extremely sleek.

This...does not <_<

These things would make devastating light anti-infantry platforms, especially the Procyon quad. It'd be fast, light and powerful. I could think of a few other uses for them as well.

Still; these things don't belong in Battletech, artistically, imo, not even remotely.

I have to admit, I'm actually a fan of that protomech. As much as it pains me to say it, but it's Quad variant actually has a decent amount of Firepower.

Quote

Procyon (Quad) - This extensive revamp of the Procyon is a new Clan Hell's Horses design. Using an advanced Quad ProtoMech chassis, it weighs six tons and carries a pair of AP Gauss Rifles supported by an SRM-2 with five reloads. Like it's bipedal cousin, it has a top speed of 96 km/h. BV (2.0) = 205[4]

I'd like to swap out the one of the AP Gauss Rifles with the equivalent PPC

Thankyou, this just made my day <_<

But yeah protomechs are hideous, though im curious how they would be redesigned for MWO. They might even be made to look... acceptable...

Problem solved. <_<

Because typing "kill it with fire" is TOO mainstream.

This was my first thought as well; at least, after I had to watch grass grow for an hour to get the image out of my head. This pic, however, is much easier on the eyes and is one of the cooler anime/fighting characters out there. Random side note, she's one of my team members on UMvC3. Anyone else play?
