I think most players will agree the game gets vastly more fun when you actually have a mech to customize. I jumped into the Open Beta, and to be honest if I hadn't stuck with trial mechs for a bit I wouldn't have even known that the amount of customization in MWO is a thing.

1) This is probably going to be in the future in-game tutorial but I feel like new players need to know about more of the game's core mechanics (like customization and how vast it is) right from the get-go.

(Also, have you guys thought about taking some of the tutorial videos here and just having them directly in the in-game client? That probably wouldn't be a half bad stop-gap measure.)

2) Value price models of Light mechs for a player's first purchase only. Being able to get a Commando or Jenner for half (or even 75%) off, and letting players see first hand what mech ownership and customization is like first hand could be a big deal.
