Can't get rid of the jamming entirely, it is a balancing factor for the UACs, otherwise there would be almost no reason to use the regular ACs.

I didn't mean that mechanic, I meant the double-tap of add/remove on all of the weapon groups to unjam. The developers would eliminate that if they were concerned about macros..

So, I thought I knew what macro unjammed the UAC/5. I now think I do not.

I used my Logitech keyboard to record my self taking the UAC 5 in and out of every weapons group. You know, this: Ctrl, ctrl, right arrow, ctrl, ctrl, right arrow, ctrl, ctrl, right arrow.

I now have to push only 1 button to unjam my UAC-5. This method has the following limitations. If I do not leave a .1 of a second between each button press, the game does not see all key commands and the UAC is put in to random other weapon groups. Suddenly your arms with LL's are shooing UAC rounds. Since I was aming with the circle, UAC of course misses. Also, since I have a delay between button presses, it takes about 3-5 seconds to complete. If I push any other buttons in there, like shoot my LL, then it messes up the UAC weapon groups, and you are wasting shots because your UAC is in the wrong weapons group.

All it does is make it faster to unjam, if you do nothing while its going on.

What other macro is there?

I actually liked that unjamming the ac5 required the pilots attention. Now there is actually no incentive left to refrain from double firing all the time... So there really is no use for an AC10 anymore. The AC5 Ultra deals more damage and has more range. If it jams, just wait for a short while. The game has just gotten a little dumber. Again...

Furthermore I think collisions must be back in the game

Dumber than using a macro? You must be kidding.

Yes, if the unjamming really required the pilot's attention, like clicking with your mouse on one of the cockpit's MFDs at a random location, so it can't be easily macro'ed, then it might be ok.
But as soon as you can completely bypass such a solution with a script or macro, it's just a waste of developing time.

Imho the unjamming time i just a bit too short.

That's what I was thinking. The option to just macro it made it 100% pointless and only hurting those without macros for it. I thought it made sense to have a MANUAL unjam feature for the weapon but the way it was setup made it kind of a pain to do if you were rather close to your target and no real weapon should leave you hanging like that.

Not to mention assigning weapon groups fixing a weapon jam simply doesn't seem logical to me...

The current design of AC's within strict TT time to damage interpretation is what is to blame. That is what it is making an Ultra AC/5 outperform any AC since the closed beta.

I never run a K2, but with dual UAC5's do both jam at the same time? Like some sort of ammo loading problem?
