

Streak Range?

I ran away from a streak cat in my light mech and at 310ms it killed my mech did they increase the range of streaks?

More likely the server calculated the hit when you were within 270m but you didn't get updated visuals until you were at 310m.

I could be wrong here, but I thought max range was 350?

You were dead when he saw you, you just didn't know it. don't mess with streak cat.

Do streaks deal drop off damage? Not sure, other weapons tend to do reduced damage after their effective range, going from 100%-0% at extreme distance. If that's the case then they still did enough damage to kill you. If it's all or nothing for streak damage then the only thing I can think of is it was latency, the server thought you were within 270 when the missiles hit.

It's been 270 for streaks since I joined in closed beta, far as I know.

I do dmg to other mechs inside PPC min range <90m with, drumroll, PPCs.

streaks are supposed to blow themselves up afgter travelling 270ms

PPC's don't deal zero damage sub 90m. Instead the damage rams to zero from 90m down to 0m. I've never been able to find out if it's a logarithmic or linear ramp but you do still deal damage.
