Honestly, I always avoided the Catapult, but after drooling on these screen shots for the last 40 minutes..

It may be my first Mech I buy

I believe it is you buy the K2 variant of the catapult it will have those hardpoints you can't switch them out. So if you buy a catapult variant that has the LRM pods you can't switch them out for the energy hardpoints you would have to buy a new catapult that has the energy hardpoints. of course I am speculating thats how it will work.

wow, that mech looks great. very happy to see the PPC variant actually looks like it has PPCs

I was thinking about taking a Centurion or Catapult first but was worried because of ammunition concerns but if the K2 variant is available at start, PPC's are gonna fly.

May I second the request for hi-res versions of these.

The mech looks great, JJ's great, I like the level of dust and the JJ plasma look. Some want more dut, I think its just right.

But the ENVIRONMENT looks AMAZING. That tower in the background....wow

On that dual LRM15 launch, I hope that after some refinement, PGI chooses to add heavy smoke trails coming out of the bays. I also hope that the sound of LRM's screaming out of their pods gives an indication to their power.

I noted the kickup of dirt that was beginning on the jump jet variant. Also, love the blue flame design on the jump jets. Looks reminiscant of jets from Mech Commander. Nice forward directional thrust. Beautimous.

The missiles look amazing, the terrain looks amazing, the catapults [emphasis on "SSS"] look amazing.

Slight Clipping of the 'mech feet into the rock in picture 4 on the website. It's not too bad.


That thing is beautiful. Think I found my 'mech until I can get either a Kintaro KTO-18 or convert a Dervish into a Faux-Kintaro, Fautaro. ^_^

It's called a torso twist.

Remember, that even though a mech might stock with lrm 15's it doesn't mean that stock there isn't other hard points there, just that the missile hard points were there. So it could be that the stock chassis has the hard points to make official variants, or our own mix and match of those hard points.

Don't really know.

I'd /like/ it if variants were completely separate chassis however.

If they don't put in one of my more favorite chassis I'll be using a Catapult I think. Gorgeous model.

The Cata has been my mech of choice when since I joined the 12th VR. HOWEVER, my personal variant might not see the light of day for a long while, x2 MRM40 ^_^
