Instead Of 75% Free Ammo Replenishment, I Think We Should Get A Free Fixed # Of C-Bills' Worth Of Ammo

The idea that anyone can get 75% ammo reloaded for free is causing a situation where people are loading up excess tonnage of very expesnsive ammo (mostly specialized missiles) and simply not rearming after a Match to get many many thousands of dollars of free ammo and still drop with plenty to spare. Basically, for every 4 tons of expensive missile ammo you equip and then don't rearm, you can "give up "1 ton of weight for your Mech by always dropping without rearming and find yourself with 3 free tons of very expensive ammo. If you equip 8 tons and don't reload, you drop with 6 tons of free ammo.

6 tons of ammo is all you really need as a missile Mech, so if you can pack 8 tons of extremely expensive missile ammo on your Mech, then you get to drop with 6 free tons of ammo every match, forever, without ever spending a single cent on rearming costs.

This is an exploit; There is no way around that. Getting umlimited free ammo of the single most expensive ammo variety in the game is an exploit.

In order to completely circumvent this exploit, I suggest changing the free reloads to a certain cost of free ammo, not a certain percentage of your original loadout. Giving people X free c-bills' worth of ammo will allow people with no c-bills to still drop in a match with a REASONABLE loadout, and players whoface the risks of dropping with expensive ammo will have to deal with rearm costs, once again.

ALSO, in conjunction with this kind of suggestion, you'd have to globallby reduce the costs of ammo in order to normalize the effects across weapons platforms since people will be offered enough money to get either a single ton of missiles or a full oadout of AC... and buying all those missiles from scratch every match would be prohibitive with current pricing.

Too Long? Give players X free c-bills worth of ammo instead of 75% free ammo, and globally reduce ammo costs to normalize.

Of course, the elephant in the room at that point is the most expensive ammo belongs to the most ammo-hungry weapon systems- LRMs, namely.

Perhaps when 240k of ammo for two LRM 15's isn't quite so uncommon it'd be more reasonable- so if they did cut ammo prices, sure. Possibly.

I know, pricing wil have to be fixed..

.. but seriously. People are proudly posting on the forums that they get Streak /Artemis SRM boats and drop without reloading because they get 6 or 7 free tons without ever spending money. That's not coo', man.
