Only if they allow me to purchase a stock Mad Cat II ! I would spend mad C-Bills on that and never upgrade it!

A slightly modified AS7-D, but otherwise it'll be stock.

I will want to see how it plays then try out different configurations to see which works best for my play style. If the stock mech gives the best bang for the buck then I'll stick with stock set-up.

But with the MechLab so easy to use and if I have the C-bills then my inner Frankenstein will come out.

Hi!

I think it could be separate battleground/Inner Sphere Campaign map for a people who want play STOCKS. By stock I mean different variants - but 3025, 3050-TRO AVAILABLE units.
But You know - I could beat it will be alot of guys here interested only in packing maximum load of weapons into the Mech to destroy enemy as efectively as possible to win a match. Real "purists" who love every detail of BT Universe would be a true minority - so I doubt designers would be interested in it.
But YES - I would gladly participate in such a "core" struggle. I played alot of MMNet cycles where stocks was ONLY possibility - but this is turn based sim of BT boardgame. It would be really interesting to see it in 3D and from a cockpit :). But in my opinion this is a matter of much more chassis available - so - much, much more good 3D models prepared. And, of course, I can't imagine myself that battles without Unseen Mechs - it is sad we cannot use it.

Sincirelly!

Jenner's a solid mech, but you know it's gonna get some XL/ferro/endo steel to bring about streak SRM2's and whatnot.

I think the point is kind of that you buy it stock and then, as you unlock advanced tech, you upgrade and customize.

No way to answer that without seeing the weapon performance and eventual armor levels implemented. There are a few stock varients in the table top TROs I would run - depending on the MWO game play verse table top game play. Awesomes and Catapult K models come to mind off the top of my head. Maurader as well (not in game yet that we know of).

An an Urbanmech of course. Just so I can laugh like heck if I actually killed somone with it.

Yup, Im in for stock mech matches. In battletech universe customizing your mech is really expensive and time consuming. Only the most The richest people with contacts to mech factories can customize mech.
In MWO everyone got custom mech :D (Except me)
Thats why Omnimechs were made, with omnis you can custom your weapon layouts.

One way to compensate stock mech players is if you play with stock mech you receive XP bonus.

I run a kinda stock CPLT-C1.
"Kinda" because I put DHS, more armor and more ammo on it.

The stock CN9-A is pretty well playable, I could see myself running that without customizations.

In fact, now that I think of it, there's no real stinkers among the stock configurations. Yes, of course most of them get better - sometimes way better - if you customize them, but none that I can think of is unplayable as stock.

Stock matches might be an interesting game mode.

That's a great idea, I'd like that.

Some stock configurations weren't bad in the table top, but in MW:O, most of them run just way too hot.

I suppose one could run that Gauss version of the Jagermech as stock and find it perfectly working. But other mechs? Not really.

Personally I would probably play a "stock mechs only" game mode far more than regular mode if it was available.

Maybe it would be interesting to change this in a poll? Ask if people would be interested in "stock only" matches. It shouldn't be to hard once the matchmaker has been improved and enhanced to implement this.
