I have been playing consistently for about a week now and I am loving the game.
But I am kind of lost and I don't know how to take the next step.
I bought my own mech, have it set up the way I want to, I guess the next step is to start doing premades?
I downloaded C3 what do I do next?

Hi Evan,
I just took this next step myself this morning. I actually downloaded the Team Speak 3 client instead of the C3 client, but I believe the mechanics are the same. It was a little confusing at first because you are using multiple systems and it doesn't seem all that integrated very well just yet. I'll assume you already know how to get your headset and client setup. Here are the next steps once you're in.
1. Essentially you will use the client to jump into a voice channel chat room. TS3 uses "Drop Ship" channels to designate a 4-person lance/group team. Go find a room/channel with 3 or less people.
2. Once you join a channel and find 3 other people, you will use the game client's SOCIAL function/button to invite the group's team leader as a friend.
3. Once you two are friends, they will send you an invite to a Group, again using the game client.
4. Once you accept the Group invite, you will see your blue "Launch" button turn to "Not Ready". This now displays YOUR readiness status to start the Group play. Click on it once to turn it to "Ready". When everyone in the group is ready, your Group leader can start the match and all of you will join the same game.
From there it's business as usual. Just remember to communicate and have fun!

Tarrys has an awesome list of stuff here that may help:
http://mwomercs.com/...oups-and-teams/
In particular, he links to Viterbi's similarly awesome post:
http://mwomercs.com/...e-chat-servers/
Which is a pretty comprehensive list of TS servers.
If you introduce yourself, there are approximately eleventy billion merc groups that will take you also.
Good hunting!
