I'm running a CTF-4X with 2 AC5 and 2AC2, 1 of each in each arm with ammo split between the arms.

For some reason, if I lose ONE arm, I lose ALL my cannons and/or ammo, even if the other arm is completely untouched.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Cannons will show as lost if they don't have ammo, where are you storing your ammo? Perhaps that is what is being blown up (like in the side torso of the same side containing the arm).

Nope, tbh you're luck that they're shooting your arms off and not cockpitting you instantly :(

Ammo is split between the arms, so I don't think that's the problem.

It could have just been a couple of freak occurances, but it's kind weird it keeps happening.

To test I'm going to move my ammo to my torso and see what happens.

actually what is most likely happening , i have a viseo of this.

Is that both arms are becoming severely damaged . any damage that occurs to those arms after they loose all their armor
crits your cannons .

Your entire arm structure is cannons so any critical will end up disabling those guns quite quickly.

if you want to see it action say so, and ill edit and post the vid.

If you're storing ammo in your arm it's probably exploding and damage is transferring down through the torso (killing the stuff there, as well). Even if you have CASE in that torso, it only prevents damage transfer to the Center Torso, and not from Arm to related Torso.

Only Clan CASE can go in limb Critical slots, too, so you're SOL for now. Avoid this issue by storing ammo in side torsos with CASE.

If I am understanding you, you are saying you have 1 AC5 and 1 AC2 and ammo for both in the right arm, and the same in the left arm. If you are loosing only one arm, the ammo in the second arm should be untouched, so assuming that you have AC2 and AC5 ammo left in the remaining arm, the AC2 and AC5 should fire just fine.

Probably what you are seeing is that the ammo in the arm that was not blown off was used up before the other arm was blown off, so all the remaining ammo was gone. I do not recall exactly what the order of ammo usage was, but someone did the leg work and found that ammo is used up on a per location basis first before moving onto the next. This means, counter intuitively, that both your AC5s are drawing ammo from one arm until that ammo is all gone, then moving onto the next arm's ammo stock.
