Chat can be permanently disabled by attempting to close the window with ESC.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Boot the game.
2. Login to the game.
3. Launch a match.
4. Open the Chat window
5. Press Esc twice
6. Try to open the Chat window again.
7. Observe as Chat window no longer appears

Notes
This also occurs when mech destruction occurs with the chatbox open.

Workarounds
Use T or Y instead. (Niko says: Stop trying to escape me!)
