FPS is wrecked. [I went from avg 60fps to avg 30fps, low 40 fps to low 21 fps.]

Everytime you die now it's a blurred mess. [used to be once in a while, now it's every time]

Battlegrid doesn't work at all, it's not just that there is no map, the mech orientation doesn't work either.

My mech health now displays my current mech as "WWWWWWWWWWW"

Still no indicator to tell you if the weapon doors are open or closed.
[This makes a difference, when the weapon doors are open the missiles fire instantly, when closed you have to wait for them to pop open first.]

Still no Betty even though we were told it was "Done" and coming in November.

Still didn't fix the overheat hud issue, where it stays in "overheat" mode.

Night Vision succeeds at making the game DARKER and doesn't work at all. It could be useful in the caves of Forest Colony, but nope, as it stands Heat Vision is all that matters.

None of the above have a lick to do with balance and have all to do with features not working at all.

PGI needs to fix the current bugs and features before they decide it's prime to add new content with new bugs. I'm out until the majority of the above is fixed. The game is nigh unplayable after today's patch.

I know PGI has the ability to see who plays and who doesn't, look me up -- and see that I'm not blowing smoke, the game sucks right now and I don't play games that suck.

When you fix all the broken stuff in this game I'll come back, because MechWarrior is a one of a kind experience these days, however; I will not play it in this unplayable state.

The game prior to today's patch had some bugs but was playable; after today's patch, is nigh unplayable.

'Nuff said.

P.S.

How does the battlegrid not working at all, ever, 100% of the time broken, get passed internal testing?

When you hit "B" all you get is a mouse cursor.

This is bar none, the worst patch I've ever seen for a game in "Open" beta. And I've played a whole lot of games, closed beta's and open beta's a like.

Sidenote;
It's issues like this that stop players from ever wanting to play your game. You push a completely broken patch to live and expect new players to have retention?

You talk about adding a stupid third person camera to help noobs orient their mech, yet the only in game way of orienting the mech now doesn't function at all?

This is why I don't spend money supporting F2P games in "beta." It almost ALWAYS results in a waste of money.

You want me to spend money on your game? Try caring about it first.

TBH, Mechwarrior is their best title -- and it's unplayable now, fancy that.

I heard PGI was hiring; maybe they should grab a handful of us as QA testers for Mechwarrior -- it might be the smartest thing PGI ever did as a company.

I was a little disappointed that they couldn't even fix a couple of the major bugs this patch. I'll probably be taking a break too.

Reboot your comp. Visual glitches always there after the patch until reboot.

I know you were trying to be all cute, like those dudes who say they quit diablo, but yo -- check it out;

I love MechWarrior, this game is great fun when it works. I was very specific to say I was done until this stuff was fixed.

I'm not a rage faced troll, I'm a person who likes to enjoy when he plays a game, and currently there is nothing to enjoy, I actually get frustrated playing this game in it's current state.

I'm aware my post count is low, so it appears as if I'm a noob, but I've been playing this for almost 2 months now. I own 2 Cats with expensive loadouts. I've played this quite extensively since I've had access, and instead of the game getting better, it's gotten progressively worse.

Also, rebooting does not fix the no "battlegrid" or the death blur bugs. The death blur bug has been in it since atleast the last build and has been exadurated in this one.

I wanted to see if the issue was local, just on my machine with the battlegrid, so the 3 games I played today, I made mention of it in chat, and all 3 games had people bouncing back with "You too, wow this patch is broken."

It's the patch, and there is no known workaround.

I find this hilarious since I'm not one of those people who gets beat up when he plays. Your insinuation that I don't know how to play because the game is broken is a faulty one.

On the contrary, I do know how to play, which is why having no battle grid is a detriment to the experience.

I can't see the positions of my own team -- if we are getting capped, I can't see if anyone is going back. I can't see what grids enemies are in when they are spotted, so therefore I cannot forward this information to the rest of the lance.

Can I chill on a hill in a guasscat and wrack up kills, sure. Can I jump in my A1 Streak Machine and put up insane damage numbers still, yeah....

But to actually play the game properly you need the battlegrid, plain and simple -- and for such an integral part of the game to be broken in the live environment when it wasn't previously is simply unacceptable.

This is not a cheese with the whine post, these are all 100% legitimate and confirmed bugs that absolutely wreck the experience.

I'll be the first person to praise PGI when they do something right, but I'll aslo be the first person to condemn them when they release shoddy updates that should have NEVER passed QA.

Swearing an allegiance to a company is not what I do. That doesn't get broken things fixed, that just encourages them that it's okay to release broken updates.

Note; Nothing in this thread is about game balance. If it was, I'd expect a line to the effect of "Less noobs more pros" but this has nothing to do with skill and everything to do with features that just outright DO NOT WORK.

The caveat is when PGI says "X feature is done and is in next patch and it's awesome!" [betty] and then the patch comes out and that feauture is no where to be found, but a slew of new features they didn't mention are. [new modules]

What is going on over at PGI????

I dont see how people can get mad at them when they finally go off the deep end about this. Lets be honest, yes, its beta, but the fact is, this is one of those games that RELEASES in open beta, and gradually just "meh"s into a true release state. What happened with this patch, was like someone trading in their gameboy color for a nintendo DS, but right before they are given it, the designers take out the game cartridge, smash the DS on the floor, and then hand it back to the owner. Sure, the DS (this patch) is an awesome improvement in content and style over the gameboy color (last patch), but ffs its smashed (bugged out) and the advertised game cartridge (8 man premades/camo/etc) isn't there, and that it would have been better to just keep the old gameboy color.

Honestly, they claim to have internal testing with this stuff. But how does it turn out like this?

On that note, I understand the game will fall down as it tries to improve and need to get up, this is how all game production goes. I just don't see the ratio of added content to trashing already implemented content to be very balanced. We wait a month for a mech and some SLIGHT balance tweaks, only a fraction of what was told would be on the 20th, and now there are bugged maps/battlegrids (I had a rainbow map today ), netcode seems worse, CTF hitboxes being worse than an AWS's, and many other ridiculous bugs.

PS. WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY TO CHANGE THE MEDIUM LASER SOUND? WAS IT REALLY THAT DIRE?

Didn't fix overheat hud not coming back.
Didn't fix black screen or colored rectangles.
Broke battlemap.

Maybe you want to take a screenshot and cirlce these lights for me, because on the hud we have, Bottom Left; Health indicator and Mech Type. On the right Weapons groups 1-6 broken up by the reticle they are attached too, a compass at the top, and our reticules.

The dots on the outside of the reticules, tell you when the weapon is ready to fire. Not if the doors are open or not.

In the center bottom, the battle grid, to the left of that we have jump jets, to the left of that current throttle setting with speed indicator. To the right of the battle grid we have the heat gauge. At the top right we have once aquired, the enemy mech health status with equipment notifiers. In the top center we have the Score board that tells you how many mechs each team has killed, the clock, and the capture base progress. The compass also has 2 yellow Triangles that tell you what degree on the compass [0-360º] that your torso is facing, as well as what your legs are facing, and the difference between the two is measured with a long yellow line.

In the center under the scoreboard, we see the "Incoming Missile" "Critical Damage" and "Base is being Captured" warning.

And that covers the entire hud.

There is no place for weapon door indicators.

I even looked around the cockpit with free look wondering if it would be on a screen inside the actual mech to no avail.

So I'm saying, maybe you should learn to play, and learn what the dots on the Hud are actually for. They are red when a weapon has been fired, green when the weapon is ready to be fired.

There is no status for the weapon door.

When doors can be manually opened by default with the "/" key.

With the doors closed, you have green lights signifying that you are ready to fire, you fire, there is a delay as the weapon doors pop open, then the missiles shoot.

With the doors opened, you have green lights signifying that you are ready to fire, you fire, there is NO delay since the doors are already open and the missiles shoot instantly.

With the weapon doors open, I believe you run the risk of blowing your arms off if shot in the open weapon door. So knowing if they are opened or closed without having to fire seems pretty important.

Currently the only way to know is to fire and see if they were delayed of if they were instant.

The only notifier with weapon doors is an audible "Click" when you press the button. However, the click is EXACTLY the same for both opening and closing, so you cannot deduce what position the door is in by the audible queue.

I've attached this picture, so you could go ahead and circle where the weapon door indicator lights are, k thanks.

On the plus side, I am seeing a much smaller shot delay and better accuracy with ppcs.

Not to be rude, but the guy could be color blind like me, and not see it. I don't even know where it's at. XD

Especially the paperdoll damage thingy-ma-jigger. To me, it goes from bright, to dark, then bright, then dark, then gone. Confuses the hell out of me.

But if you could kindly point out, perhaps in a screenshot, of where the indicator is, I'd be thrilled. =D

There is no indicator. As far as I can see, this leads me to believe this guy is mistaken.

The weapon door indicator should be both audible and visual, and it should be visible on the weapon group section of the hud in the weapon slot that currently uses the door. I.E. On a Catapult-A1/C1/C4, whatever weapons go in the arms should have a door notification too. The K2 doesn't have doors.

If we had Betty, this would be a non-argument as she would say "Weapon Door Opened" or "Weapon Door Closed."

Instead all we get is an audible click that sounds the same when opening and closing.
