This could be an issue that has been detected before, but in my last match I used an LB-10XAC on my CDN-D and during a good 20 seconds, I followed a commando while shooting him in the back with it, but I never saw his armor or internals flash. It took at least 8 shots before I took him down and I swear I saw at least 5 or these connect.

I already had destroyed the armor before I started chasing him, so taking him out was supposed to be a matter of seconds, or 2 shots max. So, I think something might be bugged in terms of hit detection with this particular weapon.

I am at the moment experimenting with the LBX10 (the last 12ish matches or so) on two of my Mechs and i am afraid i cannot confirm your experience.

For me it seems to hit just fine, although its of course prone to lag just as any other weapon.
So i aim quite a bit in front of a moving enemy and usually have multiple parts of his armour flashing.

If youre chasing him and fire straight from behind, the "lag" effect might even be worse than with any other weapon.

The moment you fire, the shot is already delayed and lagging behind, which seems to be an issue with all ACs, then the bullets will have to cover an even greater distance which is even further increased by actual lag(since he is still moving away from you) and by the time the bullets reach the target they will have spread out so far that none or only few of them will register as hits.

I hope my explanation makes sense. English is not my first language :>

I always take a standard / pulse laser for exactly this purpose. Fire the laser and use it to "feel out" where the enemy is. As soon as you see the reticule flash red, whack the cursor a tiny bit further forward and shoot the LB10X. They will walk right into the spread.

You can't just fire it at them, only 1-2 pellets will hit and that's if you're lucky. Once you get the hang of it the LB10X is very effective, much more likely to damage (for me anyway) than the AC10. Even gotten a few headshots with it

your first mistake was trying to use the LBX.

Don't, it's completely worthless compared to regular AC10.

eh, makes me regret buying the CDN-D in the first place, it's build is a complete waste except for the XL engine.

LBX is really limited use right now, 10 pellets each doing 1 damage, save velocity as a AC/10 shot.
I only use it since I get close often, and light mechs are too fast for regular AC/10.

LBX needs a boost in damage per pellet to be worth using, somewhere around 1.5 per pellet.

Hitting lights is very difficult with any weapon due to the netcode. Only streaks work.

Pretty much this, and the fact that collisions are not in right now. It's a party for lights right now, so we are seeing more lights in game.

My CTF-3D thinks otherwise. UAC/5 + LBX/10 is really putting the hurt on mechs up close.

Once that armor comes off, that LBX/10 just smashes components.
