My bet is that it lasts a month. It would be fun to get behind the controls, though.

Thread title made me think of the old Battlebots on comedy central. I miss that show, was fun to watch.

Can't wait to see this. Especially if they do a season 2 without the poles.

Seriously, you thought it was fun to watch? I mean lets be honest, half of the Battlebots were basically door stops on wheels. There were way too many restrictions on builds. The entire spectacle of the show was hilarious though, kinda like Most Extreme Elimination Challenge.

A lot of them seemed quite destructive, I remember one spinner essentially exploding and the blades on its body getting lodged in the protective plastic around the ring. Restrictions made sense considering allowing things to totally obliterate each other all the time would likely have made it far to expensive for most of those teams to participate. It was after all a hobby for most of them and fixing a busted RC death robot isn't cheap. Only thing I never really liked were excessive pit traps and some of the match rules.

It really bugs me when remote-controlled gadgets are called 'robots'.
Same deal with 'Mechs, really - but you get tired of saying "They are vehicles - not robots."
