The UAC/5's got some issues for balance.
1st) Put in a meter over the UAC/5's to show the likelihood of jam as you fire and overfire them
2nd) Put in a 5% base chance of a critical jam that takes 10 seconds to unjam other than the existing 3-5 secs now. Every time you get a jam, the base chance for a critical jam goes up by 5%. After you get a critical jam, it resets back to the existing 5 secs.
UAC/5's are fine now, however you do need to put in the chance of a longer jam and give the people using UAC/5's a way to tell visually when they will jam.

UAC/5's for me, are right where they need to be.
I am more than happy with their balance. PGI did a good job on them.

I think a salvo charging method is a better idea, save up 10 rounds per gun or 2 per ton of ammo(divided by number of guns), and have it fire at ultra for those round but cycle down afterwords to regular ac/5 rate of fire.
Saving up rounds occurs at ultra fire rate, thus making it basically saving up time not firing to fire at double rate.(10 round of ultra takes 5 rounds regular time in this way, but by comparing with charge time as well it becomes perfectly equal.)

I think there working fine. People are just raging about ACs because of the cataphract builds.
