Seriously its arm weapons feel like they're firing from his feet. Any terrain feature knee high blocks all your shots. Is this intentional? It's starting to feel rather silly.

Every mech with lower arm acutators suffers from the same disadvantage.

Short torso and long arms means that yes, its weapons are mounted fairly low. On one hand, yes, this means you have to expose more of yourself to get a shot off over a hilltop or building. On the other, though, it means you're somewhat less likely to get your arms clipped off by a sniper when you stick your head up to look around.

Use your torso mounted energy hardpoints for firing over tall obstacles. They're really, really handy for that.

TBH the game is missing the feature of rising your arms!
I do understand, that you need your arms for ballance and stuff, but at slow speeds you should be able to raise your arms and aim properly instead of having to fire from your hips...
The Phract also suffers from not having a great angle to the sides with its arms.

The 4x has its energy hardpoints on its belt line. talk about EPIC FAIL.
Even worse than them hitting knee high obstacles is trying to fight on an incline.

One ''good'' thing about a low angle of fire is that you can hit scouts better when they blow past you 10 ft away.

After reading this I tried my 3D with 2 PPC in the shoulders (and two medium pulse in the arms for backup), and 30 SHS. It's REALLY nice to fire over obstacles with the PPC's without exposing yourself much.
