Any program that is frequently patched has a higher possibility for fragmentation and errors on your computer. If the patch made things squirelly, try a reinstall. Worked for me.

Not a conclusive fix or workaround. For example, I've been using the same client since two or three patches ago and I've only encountered one major issue, which was an immediate crash-to-desktop. My friend, on the other hand, was new to open beta and installed the game last week and had only one patch update (this latest one) and he pretty much encountered every single known issue regarding the latest patch all last night, from yellow screen of death, to flickering HUD, to black screen of death, to lag-fest galore. Totally two different experiences from two different players, one who had the same client for a long time (me) and another who just installed the client fresh on his computer (my friend).

Already did, whenever a patch goes wonky I do a fresh install as a matter of course. Minor improvements, but still tons of audio errors (echoing, popping, cracking) and single digit frame rates when moving on Forest Colony, or in heavy brawls on all maps.
There is also this:
From the merged "Performance Feedback" thread. Re-install may help some issues for some folks, but there are some underlying cpu issues that are the root of the problem for lower end machines.

I just wanted to post an update for the community so far our investigation has shown that it seems the performance issues for this patch are most noticeable to users who had borderline frame rates already i.e. min spec users.
Currently it appears to be a combination of more expensive in game HUD operations the HUD uses ActionScript which appears to be causing some hot spots that are more noticeable on weaker cpus, we're working to isolate and optimize these areas and potentially also in game streaming.
The in game streaming again appears to be hurting lower end machines much more than higher end machines, we're still investigating but I wanted to post an update on what we've found so far.

I'm using a core i5 480m @2,67GHz 2 physical cores and 4 logic... I mean.. this cpu should be able to run this game better than in single digits.. :/
btw: My GPU is at no time at max load
