Hi,

i installed the game yesterday, and its really amazing, completely different feeling, then BF3 (which i thought is the best in FPS, most fun, but its not.). But this game is really different, i love it.
I read a lot of guide lines here, still have some newbie questions:

1) what is the premium time, primary role ? I joined yesterday, so miss the button to be active..
2) how work "chain fire" if i press it during battle, (playing trial catapult now) it doesnt do anything, how to set this up ?
3) any +- release date announced ?
4) if there will be any server wipeout during beta, what will be resets ? only CB/GXP ? or also bought mechs for CB?
5) if I fillup some MC to my account, will the account remain after release date ?
6) will the final build include some items for mechs, that cannot be obtain other "free" way in game ?
7) how many maps+ gamemodes are planned for full version ?

1) Premium time is for the Founders - it gives us a few bonuses in exchange for our hard-earned cash and faith.
2) To chainfire; move the arrow keys (which will move weapon groups in lower-right hand corner) to the group you want and press BACKSPACE
3) Nope.
4) Nope; the last wipeout was during the change to Open Beta. You'll just have to suck it up for awhile until you build up the CBills and XP.
5) Yep.
6) Nope (as far as we know and hope).
7) Unsure yet.

Search the forums - most of these questions have been answered or speculated upon somewhere in these forums.

Hi Armorpiercer and welcome to the forum.

Lemme try to answer your questions:

1) when you have premium time, what you can buy with MC what you can buy with money, you get more C-Bills for each match and more experience. So in general it gives you a boost.
2) you have to set up your weapon groups, by left/right and richtg crontol. after you have set up your waepon groups select one and THEN press the chain fire button. after that you will see your selected weapon group flashing, and instead of firing every weapon at once it alternates through the weapons.
3) nah, and most of us here doubt there ever will be an official release. most F2P games just go from open beta to release without anyone noticing
4) no plans on any more wipes. so what you get now you should be able to have for the "release" see 3)
5) see 3) and 4)
6) nah
7) no clue, i surely hope for some more though

ok, thank you very much.

8) So as other F2P games, filling up MC, will only give me XP/CB boost, which i can anyway get with more playtime spent, right ?
9) Can i use paypal ?
10) is there a plan to have the "base client" also in full screen mode (1920x1080 for me) ?, cause right now, its window only... the game itself is 1920x1080.

8) no, you can also buys mechs with MC. so you do not have to grind/play for them.
9) yes
10) as far as i know there are no plans for that.

8.) no it also will allow you to buy mechs with the MC instead of using Cbils and you could buy special hero mechs like the YLW (Yen-Lo-Wang) http://mwomercs.com/...attlemechs/hero

9) Yes you can as far as I know (but I'm not 100% sure)

10) I can't say for sure but I suppose the devs will update the system some day ^^

8) no, buying premium with mc will give you xp\cb boost. you can also buy mech with mc but will still need cb to customize it.
yes you can play without paying - depending on your playstyle this will vary from "all ok" to "impossibru grindo!"
9) as far as i know - yes.
10) yes - ui 2.0 planned. ingame client is fullscreen - change it in options. mech lab will be in windowed until ui 2.0. i personally recommend you to not use alt+enter to go into full screen - this proven to cause multiple bugs.

this game is substitute for mw5. after all those licensing problems i doubt we will see MW5 anytime soon.

MW5 is a whole other game which did not get past the concept stages.

MWO is a different game (especially noteworthy given MWO takes place in a different year, does not feature 'unseen' designs, and is an explicitly multiplayer game)

In case you were wondering about the above comment, 'Unseen' designs refer to many of the 'Mechs from the original editions of the Battletech Tabletop game (from which the Mechwarrior series and Mechwarrior: Online are based on,) that used artwork/skins from other games/shows (Robotech and others) but have since been removed due to legal/ licence issues. This has caused something of a broohaha amongst the community as these were much loved designs. The 'Mechs were later brought back with changed artwork and termed as 'Reseen' but these never captured the magic of the originals and some were just ******* awful!

thanks for nice explanation.

I have to say, im new to MW, i played only MW2, a milion years ago.... so still everything i read here is new for me. But the game itself has a completely different (better) feel, than other FPS..... i like it.

Answered your PM concerning this, but will put it here as well.

Sadly, Founder Pack sales ended on October 14th after having been available since June 19th. From what I understand from Official Announcements, future promotions will be offered at some time so stay tuned for any word on those.
