Uac5, Ac10 Or Lb10-Xac?

I like the UAC5 for its rate of fire and it generates a surprisingly low amount of heat, however it jams and with more quick-fire weapons my aim seems to get worse.
The AC10 is twice as powerful with a low fire rate and I am more accurate as it isn't a rapid-fire weapon, however it generates more heat than a UAC5 and isn't as effective in short range combat.
The LB10-XAC is basically a shotgun, it is awesome and has a nice range on it and also generates next to no heat. However I cannot target single points on a mech as easily and the 10 damage is spread through multiple shots.
I am torn, which one would you use?

Depends on the role you want to play. Also, what other weapons do you carry?
UA5 is a great weapon, dont worry too much about jams, it fixes itself now. Its good for medium range engagements and its suppressive effect. It does eat through ammo though and is useless up close against a fast target.
AC10 is probably the weakest of the 3 but again it has its uses. Nice 10pt damage on one location, half decent range. As with the UAC, use it at range and not as a brawling weapon.
LBX10, is great close up. Get in your enemies face and have it hit a single location. Its easier to hit lights and other fast movers too. Although at range the scatter effect make it useless.
So what is your mech going to be doing? Brawler, Sniper, Firesupport etc?

a key tactic is to use your torso turn to spread damage around your mech
fire a volley, then while you wait for your cooldown to expire, quickly present the ide of your mech towards enemy fire; then switch back, fire, and switch away. They wil leither have to hodl their fire or spread damage across multiple components.
Also, keep moving. Don't stand still so they can get a clear shot on your vulnerable sections.

even if you are at say 25 meters, an lbx shot will do 5 to the CT, and 5 to the LT/RT, which is pathetic given it takes up so much weight and space. its not even good vs lights because you get pretty much the same result if you just laser sweep. the only effective build that i've found with it is to mount 2 of them plus 3 srm6's on an atlas. then you basically just get as close as possible (ie under 10 meters) and spray your 38 projectiles and hope things work out for you.
i'd never consider using it if i wanted to win really badly.
a funny thing: lbx-10 is the most expensive weapon in the game at 800k

Don't even ****ing go near it.
That weapon will perpetually suck until it either insta-crits internals or does more than 1 damage a pellet.
That's all these is to it.

The LBX/10 sucks at anything that is in a distance over 50m from you. For everything else its basically more like a bang stick imo. Once you get up close you can put out some decent hurt with it.

yes but at that range its really easy to aim. so there's no point wanting a spread 10 damage when you can do a pinpoint 10 (or more) damage. the one specific situation i can see lbx even being in the discussion is that you can mount 2 of them instead of 1 AC10/Gauss/AC20 on the Atlas RT. in theory 2 lbx in combination might do more damage under 25 meters to a single point or at least comparable damage but with easier aiming. however when you consider that this advantage only happens at 25 meters (50 TOPS) then its a pretty crappy tradeoff

and this *only* applies to the atlas because it has the 2 ballistics in its RT and it can carry 22 tons of autocannon around without gimping itself too badly. plus you can put the other terrible shotgun weapon on it, the srm6, to make a big slow mech that is frightening at 20 meters yet totally useless at 200 meters.
its one of those weapons that might have had a use in TT but is a lot worse when you video game it.

It's an SRM6 that does 2/3s the damage, weighs more, takes up more crit space, and has less damage per ton of ammo. What's not to love?
