The Hud is really something people see thru their neurohelmet and unlike the pics should not be something glued to the cockpit glass.

In most mmos, maps, items, text, etc as all clickable and drag-able for placement. I don't see why this cant be the case in MWO for certain elements such as hud displayed weapons, map, heat, jumpjets etc..

You can have a default set but let players set it to their likes in case you don't do it perfectly.

Hmm... HUD-customization via click and drag sounds good. I like to rearrange elements of the HUD to my liking. Different people perceive and evaluate information differently, so they should be able to maximize this visual information channel.

I like this idea i think it would enforce even more "its me in the mech and its my own mech" thing PGI is going for. But this should be set in the game client and not while in-game for obvious reasons.

I've asked this on the 'Ask the Dev' thread already, I'm hoping they see this thread as well and answer the question. It may seem like a small think but simple customisation like this really does enhance the player experience more than many people realise. Setting up what works for you and presenting the information available in a way that is intuitive for you as an individual is so important in games nowadays. Or at least I think it is.
