I really appreciate the missile bay door toggle that we've recieved and it's nice that we have an indicator light, but the light isn't very obvious. Right now, the light toggles between a pale yellow and a pale green. I believe that the indicator light would be more useful if it switched on/off instead of switching between two similar colors.

^This!
Or make it 2 colours with more contrast/easier to differ from.

I looked for this in my cent and couldn't find it. Is this door what's causing the delay between pressing the button and firing missles? I would love to leave the stupid thing open.

i'd actually prefer the words "on/off" to be used somewhere, or a solid "bar" light rather than a single LED.

Also can someone confirm what the penalty is for using it? someone said ingame you take 25% more damage but unsure.

You can open/close the doors by pressing the "/" key. The indicator light is near the base of that left window bar. Supposedly, the missile doors give you a 10% damage reduction, either for the weapon or for the front side torso (not sure). You don't get a penalty for opening them, you just lose the damage reduction bonus.
