So, for my final project in my Drafting class, I made a Targe. Why a Targe? because I love 'em. Why? I wish I knew. Posted Image

Nice work that must have taken an eternity in AutoCAD.

It actually only took me less than 8 hours, but I work really fast.

BTW, Dire Straits, with Root Beer at the ready, and making a 'mech in AutoCAD, I really cannot think of a better way to spend an evening.

My Targe is totally better.

(No it isn't.)

Glad to see you're getting into modeling. If you want to we should work together on an animation or something.

Well, I don't have light wave, that is what you use, quiaff?
And thank you for making that Targe, that was neat!
As for modeling, I'm going into Engineering, so modeling is not my focus, I just happen to have made a 'mech in a drafting program.

Not sure about the animation side (it mostly does still animations not moving 4d type stuff). but have you tried Kerkythea?

Its pretty awesome for lighting and shine effects.
(It also is/ used to be free as it was more or less a beta for Thea render).

Iuse Lightwave, blender, and motionbuilder but I can use most other filetypes by converting them. I'm certain that autocad would have some form of object file export that would make it usable in an animation or modeling program. Anyways even if you don't get into modeling that sure is a nice Targe you made.
