I was wondering if it would have the hachetman or other melee class mechs?

There may be Charging, where in you ram you mech into another mech to cause mutual damage. And skills to reduce your own damage.

But no, no Hatchetmen in the first set so far.

Not at release. Not until the Devs know they can get it right.
