The email address, as typed here, is the correct address to contact Support and report Team Killers - they have a log. Althgough I don't know what you meant by "that didn't work," so all I can suggest is that you continue to report future instances of TK to the support email address <support@mwomercs.com> with the offending player's name, the time your match started (time, date and timezone), the map, and any notable texts that got sent in-game.

Also, retaliating against a Team Killer is still very unsportsmanlike, even if they're "known" as one of ill-repute.

Sry but any team mate that fires on me and its not an accident gets an Alpha to the face, no quetions asked! Unsportsman like? too funny!

I have 2 teamkills :-p

I shot an enemy atlas in the back with yen-lo's ac20 back when the netcode was horribly screwed and the shot when through the enemy atlas and headshotted an ally behind him, like wtf...

The second was in a cat with 2xstreak2 & 2xsrm6. I was chasing down an enemy cat and I kept getting shot in the back. After the enemy was down I turned and got shot again, in the face by an ally atlas. I launched both 6-packs at him to tell him to knock off and it killed him. He bitched in chat, I pointed out that if yer gonna shoot yer own people repeatedly you should expect them to shoot back, its a matter of self preservation at that point.

Have had stray LB10X pellets hit a weakened teammate and kill them before. I've just really learned that if you don't have a clear shot, i.e. friendly mech close range brawling your target, don't take the shot. Because in matches with teams this small every loss of a mech is a big one.

Also when I'm on voice coms, I usually call "Crossing Front" when crossing an friendly mech's field of view.

The sad thing about threads like this is; Most of the time, the people posting threads here about being team killed, actually started it.

I have been in several matches where a gauss cat would shoot team mates until we killed him, then would complain in "all" chat that we killed our only chance of winning. Then he would post a thread here about being team-killed.

Griefers are going to continue to do this.

I TK on principle for the following offenses:
  • Actively firing on teammates. I let them get about one "I'm A Moron" shot and then proceed to core them out of existence.
  • AFK running. It's a little hard to tell, but if a mech hasn't moved inside of the first thirty or so second, I usually strip them to the bone and then core them. It's about the only way I can actively punish AFK farmers that hurt the team. If they start playing after I peg them, then so be it.
  • Reporting intel over global to the enemy team. Had a commando do this yesterday: started giving loadout data to the enemy team. I legged him and then castrated his mech before coring him. Had the nerve to cry about TKing and reporting me. I said, "Bring it."
The military in me hates people like this. I'd almost rather shoot them in the head before leaving the foxhole than give myself the false hope that they'll do anything but let me down. Also, it sometimes serves to send a message to the offender (though not really, I'd imagine they just get butt-hurt and continue offending) and the enemy team (because I don't mind offing one of "my own" - as if I'd give them that label - in order to make up for dishonorable and detrimental actions). In the end, we end up fighting harder to make up the slack and often win.

So keep your nose clean, OP, report those that wantonly TK and grief people, and don't be afraid to take the 15K CB + 150xp hit for curb-stomping a dumb ************* out of existence - especially when doing so might end up saving your team.

you sound like a ******* *****. The other day in a match i was in an atlas trying to see which way everyone was gonna go, and another atlas was standing right next to me. neither of us were AFK. 15-20 sec after start of match, some genius just like you says "i kill all AFKer's" and starts blasting both of us

i hate AFKers as much as anyone but some people are slower to load or tinkering with their weapon groups or typing something in chat and if you're firing on people after 30 sec you're as bad as any TKer who's doing it for fun

It may not be sportsman like Pros, but at least I can survive if I kill him first. I even went on to get two enemy kills and helped my team win the match, the one time someone tried to TK me. ;)

as far as reporting people goes, i've done it several times and always get an email from PGI saying they're looking into it but never hear anything after that

seems like if anyone was actually being punished over TKing or AFKing or Trial Mech farming you'd see a QQ thread on the forums about it, so for now I assume all of those things basically come with no penalty

It's a common practice for game companies to not announce when they ban someone. I would guess that they warn first and ban later for repeat offenses. Also, who is going to come on and QQ about being banned for TKing? Can you imagine the flak they would get?

Don't stop reporting just because the results aren't immediately visible. If every single obvious TK was reported the bans would come faster and eventually (at least some of) the offenders would get tired of making new accounts.

It may take some time for PGI to respond, their policy seems to be to put team killers on notice before banning them, unless they receive multiple complaints about the same player. So if you run Into a griefer/teamkiller, make sure you report it, and be descriptive, don't just rage about it.

yeah I would be leery of that.. I would just decline and block. Not sure if blocking works yet but hopefully someday it will keep the blocked from dropping with you or you with them.

Report them at that e-mail address. The same thing happened to me last night ( a team killer ) except they were firing lasers at the start of the match until they blew themselves up to grind C-Bills... stripped my leg to no armor red (I'm a Jenner ;)) and then left... I know that atleast another person reported that player as well and they do indeed follow up, atleast that's what I'll keep believing 'cos they tell me so. Submit ticket to GM!

I only did 150 dmg but thru supportng others I managed 2 kills before our loss ;)

I did send the email. I just have to put the vid on youtub, as others have suggested, and send the link to PGI.

- Nearly all of the TKers are accidental ones... they were just distracted or something (or you just walked in front of them). This includes that fool of a gausscat that shot me in the back (was in front of him for an entire minute), and me shooting someone because I was trying to get in the right window (click - shoot). Hey, fecal matter happens! Most people complaining about TKers merely had a too intimate encounter with one of these.

So... retaliating is often a bad idea. If the other person only shot accidentally and you kill them, then you (yes you!) are the shameless TKer.

I believe that most claims on this forum is blown out of proportion. Most people here are just here to QQ and have no evidence to back up their claims. There probably isn't even a youtube video and like many claims here, this is grossly exaggerated.

I agree this is unrealistic and naive - if not straight out insulting. If we knew there was punishment awaiting TK pilots we wouldn't have to self govern the battlefield. Since we see nothing happening and familiar names keep popping up it would seem there is little to fear from TKíng - hence pilots defend themselves. Let's put our efforts into the unsportsmanlike TK'ers first shall we? Make certain they are openly chastised for their crap.

Unsportsmanlike to return fire? I agree, straight out insulting. I have no problems returning fire, on either team. The TK penalty is such a pitance that I could TK for a week straight and not suffer a bit. It isn't like they can take away what I already have beyond cash and cbills, bought and paid for equipment and unlocked masters aren't going away, period. So, TK'ers aren't discouraged. Neither am I from having a nuclear response to "friendly MGs" in the back. Homie just don't play dat. Forget saying you are sorry, say "uncle".

Notice my careful choice of words. AFKs are hard to determine. That's why I give them a bit of time and then only after a few choice love taps do I proceed to strip them down and core them. Anyone who isn't actually AFK will respond after a couple slaps to the face. A reasonable response time to get one's head in the game is realistic.

Congrats on your first post here. Ever. With that evident level of experience here, I can ascertain for certain that you are, definitively, the man to ask.

But let me humbly dare to contradict your wizened edict. TKers are alive and well, and they do it for a large variety of reasons - not the least of which is to grief and act like the short bus clients that they are. Admittedly, though, most of the failure PUGs just AFK/suicide/suck so badly that they might as well not even be there.

Team Killing is not always intentional and can happen to the best of us. I can't tell you how many times someone has simply walked into my fire lane just as I aimed in the shot and pulled the trigger. In my opinion that's not my fault. That simply poor judgement on the part of the victim. There was no malice on my part.

However, I have noticed over the last few days friendlies intentionally picking fights. I had to put one guy down the other night simply because he wouldn't leave me alone. I tried to leg him and leave him but that didn't quite go as planned. And who get's penalized for the hostile action? Me. So I have a choice: either let him keep shooting me which costs me money or simply put him down which hopefully will cost me less money. I'm not sure why the sudden uptick in intentional team hostilities but I hope this group gets borred soon and finds another game to be unsportsmanlike in.
