Would anyone be interested in having an IRC channel, or other text chat, to make it easier to setup groups? At least until some sort of in game lobby/messaging is implemented? It would be nice halfway point for those interested in communication, but not desiring to get into TS/Vent/Skype.

Not sure I understand the point of a IRC channel or browser based chat although it would be pretty easy to set up. Could you elaborate?

Currently, I just go Social, create group, spam invites to people previously added to friends list, have a quick group chat, launch is pretty much how it works for me.

Alternative is to go Social, check friends list and double click on name of someone I want to play with and ask for group.

Just a thought. There are enough players involved at this point it might be nice to have a common place to drop an LFG rather than just spamming invites. Also allows for a bit more coordination if you're looking for people interested in running a more specific set of roles, or playing a specific game type.

Something that would, hopefully, be temporary. Will be nice if they get better communications tools in place in game at some point.

Easy enough to do. I can set up a persistent chat room on Chatzy if enough people want it. However, it may be more organization than most of the people on this thread want. Anyone interested, please PM me to avoid cluttering this thread.

If I could make a suggestion, the list could really do with being broken down by time zone. That way, you could friend people who are likely to be playing the same time as you. As it is, the list is quite large, you wouldn't know where to start with it.

Most don't have it, will try to include it in next update for those who have provided it.

However, like most things in life, if you just do the add friend requests in batches, it doesn't really take that long to send out request to all 215 players.

Just FYI, after entering the name of the person you are sending the invite to, DO NOT use your mouse to click anything. Just type the next player's name and hit enter. Rinse & repeat.
