After i added some friends from this list last night i tried to get a conversation going in the social tab
to maybe start a premade but that didnt work. What am i doing wrong? Didn't seem to be any place to
write text in.
Just double click on the names of those who you want to chat with and a chat box will pop up. If you are in a group you can do this same thing in the group tab but talk with everyone in the group.

I have a question though, how can I add friends and play with other people in a group?

You should just be able to create a group, then right click on friends to invite them. Also remember to double click on players names in the social tab to start a chat box with them.
P.S. did you know if you are in a group (even if its empty) other groups fail to invite you to join theirs This means you must leave your own group before getting an invite.

Hot damn, didn't know that. Will try it.
Would be really nice if they made this feature more obvious.

I think i went from something like 2-10 win-loose in regular PUGs to the opposite 10-2 with you guys.
I can only recommend this, sign up and meet some nice people for a good time.

Awesome! I never expected launching this thread would be this popular and conducive to bringing folks together. Every time I log in I find new friends.

There should be an "Add Friends" button, when you click it you can type in the name of the person you want to add. To create a group, go into the "Group" menu and click "Create Group". You can then right click on names in your friends list and choose "Invite to group" and if they accept they'll pop up in the group list. If they are in a group, it'll say "Failed to send invitation".
(Yes, PGI, you need to work on your documentation. I'm a freelance writer, hint hint.)

How hard would it be to add a basic chat room that shows who's on the server and allow creating new channels or groups from there? And after each game everyone being dumped in the same chat room?

There are plenty of options for people who want to use teamspeak. This thread is for those that don't, or those that just want to expand their friends list. The idea here is:
-No Clan Required
-No Commitment Required
-No Teamspeak Required
