I went through the other threads.. either no one asked or the thread was too long and it was buried and I didn't find it.

So figured I would start a new thread topic so it would be easier to find for everyone and the Devs.

So a few questions..

1) Is the environment going to be destructible.. ?

Nothing seemed to get damaged in videos.. I am hoping it is.. With CryEngine3 I would think there would be no reason it isn't.

2) Did we only see a small portion of the map ? Or did we see all of it..?

I ask because it seemed rather small in some aspects, but the map screen seemed to indicate it was bigger than the areas we saw..? If you were to give a general size.. what percentage of the map did we see

3) Compared to WoT are the maps going to be about the same, smaller or larger..?

What do you guys think..?

Well, the first one is easy to answer. Bryan said they are going to implement those falling/burning trees.

And I don't think we saw the whole map, but a nice big chunk of it is showed for sure.

if I recall correctly, we were told that:
1) no terrain deformation - if you shoot the ground, no craters are formed
2) physics enabled trees will be in
3) trees will be burnable

Thats what I kind of figured.. turned off as to eliminate it as a problem during testing.

Question I guess is HOW detailed will the damage be.. I am so hoping for wholesale destruction like the 2009 video.

Being able to fire through windows

Weight of mech taking out buildings

FIRE FIRE FIRE !!!!

I am really hoping that heavily wooded areas will catch fire. What a great ambush!

I would suspect that they are saving that for a later date. I know I'm realy excited to see how they handle that environment and my guess is they will wait untill they can show it in all it's glory.

Having destructible terrain would be nice to have, but for me it is not essential.

I believe this is only referring to the actual ground, not structures, trees, etc
(also fixed a typo for you )

I would love to see large maps that allowed for movement especially with 12v12. Small map no need for role warfare everyone will be in a knife fight at that point. So please may we have some BIG maps?

One thing I am curious about is of some one locks on to you with L-range missiles, so you use your flamer to light some trees on fire. Will ether the missiles hit the trees, you or just spread out targeting the trees and you?
