Mech Type Beside Names?

Here's an idea (taken from World of Tanks). On the forum screen you put the mech they are piloting beside their name.

That way you can see how many assaults are against you but MORE IMPORTANTLY you can perhaps get an inkling of what subtype of mech it is.

You can then use C3VOIP or TS3 or hell, even type, some tactics in team chat!

This would also help at the end of matches to identify the most useful mech in your game (or against you). Without extra information it is hard for people to come up with viable tactics.

Would it work?

I'd love that. As it is, I do a 360 at the start of each match with the Q key held down to see what classes I have on my team. I then know the enemy has classes matching that.

This would be great but precise info on our team at start, and later being updated on other team as being spotted and recognised with time.
Would give scouts wee bit extra purpose for their actual role :P
At least a table that would show info beside pilot name like:
1:Class (Assault) 2: Chasis (Atlas) 3: Variant (AS7-K) All dependent of acquired info from mechs targeting computers.
