I think they need to do like other forums do and take a proactive approach to informing the community of development difficulties so that you ignorant masses better understand why you cant "just fix it". They are.. this is what fixing it + new content looks like. And if you say they should fix it first, you dont understand programming at all. Everytime you add something thousands of new problems, many small, but a few big ones, are created. They cant fix it then add stuff cause they would have to fix it again every single time. As is it is more than playable, it is enjoyable with less bugs than many "golden" released games you pay 60 bucks for.

With that said, there are certain limits to be expected in the moderation of just about any official video game forum. There's a reason a lot of people drift over to third-party forums to actually discuss video games. That's not a shot at the mods - rather, I'm sure some of them wish they could go nuts swinging the banhammer of perpetual doom around like third-party forum mods can. Alas, whenever banning posters corresponds to losing customers, such powers tend to be used sparingly.
Back to Dev communication - I think PP covered the gist of it. We used to see the Devs around all the time. After Open Beta hit, they seem to have gotten a heck of a lot busier (which makes sense), and the light-speed thread turnover of General Discussion can make picking threads to reply to pretty difficult.
Example: We had some awesome Dev and Lead Dev responses to a thread about game mechanics just a couple days ago, where they outlined the Critical Hit system in full among a few other things. That thread is now buried underneath mountains of useless crap. I'm betting the vast majority of GD never even saw it.

I have no idea about Canada, but in the US $120k is not "google money". That's pretty much what a decent senior engineer makes +/- $10k (Unless you're in SF/NY/DC in which case it's more to adjust for cost of living). Jr. level software engineers with a clue make $60k-ish in most areas due to demand and lack of qualified applicants.

I really enjoy the effort you poured into this post. You provide several statements with zero information.

Game devs make between 60-120k?
Are you insane?
try between 22-80k for the vast majority of people that work in the industry big name players in the industry will top out at more than that because they usually created the studio they are working at.
tl dr;
people with no idea talk about complexity and costs whilst being wrong
